I'll take a bet though that the final round robin ladder ends up not being anything anyone picks. There's too many variables.
I've picked Penrith out of the eight, because I don't believe the bulk up plan works. But they're proven to be successful. I've tipped Canberra to run in the eight, but my word that all changes if Jason Smith goes down. I've tipped Melbourne to run high up, but they've been a bit iffy of late. Brisbane usually don't go so good after Origin, but I think perhaps Webcke sticking around might help as well as better younger players hanging around too. North Queensland have shown lots, but they've also shown they can perform poorly at times too. Even the Warriors, most are looking at them, and possibly rightly, and writing them off, but their last three games has seen losses by 2 points, 4 points, 4 points to Panthers, Sharks, and Roosters, and all in likelihood they probably were the better team in all games - as a Warriors fan, it could do two things, A: they could find the ability to finish off attacking raids and roll a few teams B: they could get downhearted and give up the ghost. For all we know, players the Dragons rely on again may go down injured, and where would that leave them?
