2005 Grand Final Ticket Price?

Hey all,

I'm putting together some stats that show the change in ticket prices for the Grand Final over the past 10 years or so and I'm stuck at 2005. I'm after the general admission price mainly.

It was the memorable year of the West Tigers victory, so there's plenty of info on the eBay scalping scandal but the original ticket price continues to escape me.

If anyone has any idea or a ticket stub or something that'd be awesome!

I still have my ticket. I think It was one up from general admission (in gate B) and it was $100.

Cheers Chopsy! If I don't come across the actual Gen admin price (ie lowest adult price) I can compare your price against the prices for the same ticket in 2004 & 2006 and infer the figure by inflation. If only I was good at maths...

I feel like I can remember my mate paying $50 or $55 for tickets behind the goal posts at the 2005 GF !!! What a day !!!

Mine is on the wall in front of me in a frame ( along with other photos from the day)

We got a family ticket - GA Bay 144...was $42.50

$80 last year....$55 in 2008

Family 2013 -$215 // 2005 - $42.50

I'd bet petrol prices havent risen as quick in the same time frame

Petrol in 2005 was around $1 a litre from a very vague memory.

Yeah, it was 85-87c/ltr roughly in '01 when I got wheels again after a fair period without a car
