2005 Melbourne Cup

Looking back on this race have any of these horses won in Australia since last years race?
How have the overseas horses fared?
Looking back it seemed a pretty weak race or am I being too harsh?

A fair few have either retired or been injured.

Demerger won a 1400m race and a 2500m race.
Dizelle won a 2000m race at Randwick in the autumn.
Envoy a couple of races in NZ at the start of the year.
Same campaign as Melbourne Cup.
Bazelle won 2000m Dec NZ race.
Nothing too much to excite me thats for sure.
Any others?

i never like backing horses once they've run in a melb cup (makybe the only exception to the rule)
