I was on the tunnel last night, right where the stadium roof drips on you. I had to buy a big fleecey throw rug which i hid under or sat on most of the night. I was at OKI for that Parra/Saints game... the conditions last night were much worse and much colder than that. Unbelievable stuff, I'm kinda surprised so many did turn up. I'm far from complaining about the crowd, every one of them, even undercover, were brave.

Typical Sydney attitude. What is the rain gonna do. Melt you? It's obvious Sydney does not appreciate its league.

I was there, in the rain, freezing my absolute ass off. It's not just water, it's 4-5 degree temperatures AND wind-chill factor. Torrential rain.

And I still sat in it. Don't for one minute try to suggest I don't appreciate my league.

You lie about the crowd figure. I'm of the opinion that Melbourne were fudging crowds right up until about 2004. It's the only way, imo, you can explain why the crowds look 'smaller' than everyone's educated guess!

How am I lieing about the crowd figure? I'm just providing the crowd numbers that the Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust (MOPT) provided Channel 9.

I'm of the opinion that Melbourne were fudging crowds right up until about 2004. It's the only way, imo, you can explain why the crowds look 'smaller' than everyone's educated guess!

Perhaps, all it could have part to do with the capacity of the ground been reduced due to 'safety' concerns since when the Storm first moved their in 1998.

Also this would not be the first time a 'NRL final' has a suspiciously lower crowd....

Sydney suburb teambagain lets the crowd average down. Maybe the NRL could invest in some umbrellas to get the Sydney people off their ar5es?

I know ;-) . Sorry if that sounded accusatory, but I was talking about the Storm, not you.

That still shouldn't affect how the crowd looks on TV imo. OH&S regulations aren't changed in accordance with the average size of human!
