He wouldn't knock Sutton out of 5/8 that's for sure. I think McRae might start him from the bench until something opens us for him.

Polglase is on a one year contract (i think he has done extrememly well in the number 1...and gets better every game).

i think champion just needs the game time to gain confidence. what we saw from him last year is basic football. he is a great young player with many skills i think once he feels confidence he will do awesome

Beau needs to start at fullback...the sooner that happens, the sooner Souths will win. Simple as that.

Beau is natural talent and one of the best i've seen in a long time.

He's got a great ability to read the game and he is dynamic...needs to be in the starting 13.

PeeWee Moke!

I agree.

In my season preview that i'm currently writing up to be sent to some venues he was my "Young player to watch" in the Sharks team.

he needs to develop the confidence first. i think bomber mcrae is being smart by not throwing him into the deep end. he is just letting him get the feel for it before he gives him a full blooded shot

Brendan Oake will push for first grade selection this year. Injury to his sternum kept him out last year but I'd rate him the better of most of the young forwards coming through Parramatta.

agree.

The Eels have plenty of talented lower graders, but he is the one i can see becoming big. May get a taste in 06, and may not become big till 07

For the Bunnies, we have Beau Champion (can play anywhere in the backline, but probably best at 5/8 or fullback) coming through. He has some game time under his belt from 2005, expecting bigger and better things in '06.

Other moving up from PL to NRL are Shannon McPherson (lock), got a taste in the draw against the Dogs, 2006 could be the year for Rhys Hanbury (5/8 or halfback) also.

From the Flegg team, Beau Falloon and Michael Goward. We have some big boys in that team as well.

Gowie might get a run this year. Falloon won't. Not big enough.

Another one to watch from Flegg, although he's just had an Ankle Reconstruction is Jarrett Douglas. He's a bloody good player.

Souths and Canberra have 2 of the weaker squads in the NRL but have some of the best young stars in the lower grades as well. Can't wait to see all the players in the top grade hopefully with the clubs they are at now and not at the Roosters or another NRL club. Definately not the Roosters:lol:

all three have played FG last year, but Jarrod Mullen (6/7), Kade Snowden (front or second row) and Riley Brown (second row, lock, centre, 5/8) WILL all kick on for the Knights in 06. just a matter of finding spots (injuries will make them appear no doubt....).

A young fullback named Nathan Hinton has a big future as well, one of those players that looks like he is hardly moving and all of a sudden he has made a 50m run... reads a game rediculously well as well, always in the right spot. seriously LOOKS like a slug though.

Mullen, as long as he has continued to physically mature, SHOULD be the Knights 5/8 next year, with Kidley in the centres. Hagan loves Kidley though...

Danny Vaughn and Chris Bailey (both older but yet to play NRL) also have big things expected of them this year. Vaughn is an old-school hard nosed prop, whereas Bailey is a carbon copy of his brother Phil, hopefully without the crap attitude.

Not even CLOSE to 5 - Theres a heap of clubs that could claim to have assisted in Riddells development in some way or another (he played his junior footy for the dogs or saints - forget which one and attended balmain affiliated school (Holy Cross) while I'm 90% sure he was under an Easts scholorship and came into his own at Saints) but Parramatta had nothing at all to do with it.
played junior league in canterbury district with st.christophers, then scouted by dragons and developed through them.
