2007 Crowd Watch

not one crowd under 11,000. I think the NRL should persist with MNF, but looking at those stats, it should be restricted to Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra based home teams.

The homebush games seem to be going great guns as well. Probably easier to access in peak hour than any other Sydney ground.

Great crowd. No, brilliant crowd. There would've been 218 Sydney fans there, tops.

I tipped it (The crowd) :D...

Yeah shocking turnout for Roosters supporters!!! Brillian crowd though.

I just hope the Bulldogs keep winning because their game against Parramatta at Telstra soon could draw 30K+ easily if we do.

Thats a great crowd!!!

Any more promotion than usual??

Well 3 or 4 players and the coach on the official website enouraged the fans to come out in numbers.

They had a bit of a school holiday thing running too, I even heard some promotion on local radio up here on the Central Coast.

The NRL also promoted the match a fair bit on Nova and Austero (MMM and 2Day) during the leadup to the game, so I'm sure that helped, it was possibly the most coverage I had heard for a Sydney based MNF game since the Manly game.

And alot of us thought it would easily be the worst drawing night of any round. Those figures show that it's ended up being one of, if not the best.

Very happy with how things have turned out. If handled and promoted properly (*kicks Gallop in the arse*) it has the potential to be something quite big in the future and a night Rugby League can make it's own and set itself apart from the other codes.

Canberra's been the real surprise packet and I think Brisbane has great potential with some huge walkups.

The crowds are good, but I've said it before, we are not promoting as we should be. More people need to have access to it. A lot of the floating fans that I talk to forget that it's on.

So have the Roosters and we managed 20k against them on a chilly Monday night when there was a Hillsong convention next door.

Yes, but it was Monday night footy (quite a few neutrals would turn up just to see monday night footy). Tigers have a stack of bandwagoners, and penrith are just plain crap and most fans would not want to pay to watch penrith this year!

locky, no excuse. The Roosters are woeful and had no fans turn up, the majority of Telstra on Monday was Dogs fans.

Tonight was just pathetic.
