thats SFS figure seems low to me , looked much closer to 20K.

especially when they showed the western side , it was really packed.

Holy crap! That's the first time I've heard anyone say a Roosters crowd was understated. I'll just pick myself up off the floor...

With next weekend's grand final round we should maintain another weekend with a 17k+ average IMO.

The following weeks sees the Broncs host the Dogs and Cowboys host Saints on consecutive nights, Storm v Eels on the Friday also and Souths first MNF, the third overall at Telstra, the first two of which both managed 20k + and this one is four the Bunnies against Manly.

Round 24 then has Dogs v Storm on FNF, Roosters v Panthers @ SFS, WT v SS @ Leichhardt and Saints v Eels.

I think that should be enough to trump last year, assuming the final round is a big drawcard on every front (except maybe Storm/Titans and Can/Cron).

No chance on 2005.
The Eagles and Storm will have home finals. What's the capacity of those grounds?

Games that would surely reap bigger crowds at other grounds you'd imagine.

Telstra Dome for the Storm and SFS for Manly :fist:

So we should allow substandard crowds and not maximise the amount of people at the ground for that sake? I understand and appreciate home finals but we have to move from the stone age some time. Glorified park footy is for the regular season, not the final series IMO.

You might almost have a point if either games had any serious chance of significantly beating the capacity of the "park footy" grounds if they were moved.

Home finals in the first week will persist until there is a good cause to move them. The only good reason is to meet demand above what might be possible at the suburban grounds. We have not reached that stage.

EDIT: There is probably a second good reason, if grounds are not up to scratch as far as amenities are concerned. This is already taken into account anyway.

2 v 7 - Manly v Dogs at Brookvale on Saturday night

You lot are kidding yourselves if you think that wouldn't get more than 21k elsewhere.

Like i said..f**k the money..I'd rather see it played at Brooky where we dominate the crowd than at SFS with it being 50/50

Chances are we'll dominate the crowd anyway, we always travel.

I totally agree and it has nothing to do with my team hosting home finals. Fair enough changing venues after the first week but week 1 should rightly be played at the home ground of the team who's earnt it. Why should the best performed teams lose any home advantage by playing elsewhere? The answer is they shouldn't.

Well done Sharks fans, way to keep it under 2005s average, whats the excuse tonight too cold, too windy, chapped lips, hung over from northies.

Your players turned up, pity you didn't.

What do you prefer,? Perth Sharks, West Aussie Sharks, Adelaide Sharks,Central Coast Sharks, Wellington Sharks, all sound good
