All in all I think we have a pretty good draw. These are points I have drawn from it so far:
* Play Broncos only once (at home)
* Ditto Bulldogs
* Good, relatively easy (I say that lightly) finish to the season
* ANZAC game away this year - hopefully that will mean a 6/6 split between Oki and WIN

We beat Brisbane three times last year - twice away. I wish we'd drawn them twice, we've got the wood on them now...

I wish we'd only played Melbourne once.

Will the Red V and Football Club members get a say in that ??

Sorry, I'm a bit "silly" this morning, and no that's not, "the norm".:D

Am I asking for too much, or can we go into the bye, UNDEFEATED ???

You haven't watched to many Dragons games have you? We will be lucky to win 1 of the first 5 games of the season. Standard

A really good draw, imho. It's not often that you'll get a draw where there's not at least one or two stretches of three to four matches that can really cause a season to come apart, but in this draw the only really testing run is the successive away games at Parra and Melbourne, but even that's only two games.

It's dangerous to leap to conclusions now, because it's still uncertain how we'll cope with the big loss of Bailey (oh, and Barrett? Well.. meh). But the backline should really come into its own next season and if the forwards are capable I would expect no less than 16 wins with that draw.

Good call Weasel. NRL have looked after us OK around the ANZAC Day game with a bye for us (& Roosters) weekend precedding & then hopefully not until Sunday or Monday the folloeing weekend.

Very interested to see the style we play with Barrett gone, everything was centred around him. Be good to see some more expansive play with the young blokes who have 50 or 60 games up their sleeves (Creagh, Young, Sims & Poore) put their own stamp on the team & step it up to become leaders. I think if we get it right in defence that we will have a lot if points in us next year, regardless of where Gaz plays, but if we could be the number one defensive team, I would be backing us to go a long way.

There's a revelation for you.

I've been at every game at Kogarah and Win for the last three years, and every away game I can get to, and those I can't I watch on Fox or Nine, so yes I have seen plenty.

I know how they have started in recent years, that's why, after looking at the draw, I could see things changing for once. That was the guts of the post.:?

Sorry Preach it was just a tongue in cheek comment. Of course you would of been to every game.

Week 22 at home will be of some significance to you. Reece Simmonds playing against the Dragons at Kogarah.

Cheers mate, I should've taken it as such.

I think Reece, my young bloke and myself will all be out injured that day.

Fancy seeing Regal Reece - King of the Wing against us at home, hard to imagine it would happen.:(

And Colin Best - if Offiah & Walford were our "Black Porsches", then these two were our "White Datsuns"...

Colin Best wouldn't know if a tram was up him 'til someone rang the bell to get off. A white Datsun, for sure and certain.

Regal Reece - King of the Wing, guts personified, a champion clubman and a great bloke to boot. I'd describe him more along the lines of a "White Mercedes".:D

Hallelujah! I get to see the boys live this year, after playing the Warriors only once and over in Aussie to boot for the last 2 years! Oh happy days! I hope at least some of you guys are going to be able to make the trip over, as it would be good to have a few beers with you.
