With Burt and Smith as halves, we have two players that we need to hide in defence.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Jeremy Smith will be the backup player that we re-sign. He's sort of gone off the radar.

David Stagg - Must signing considering Morro is leaving
Nate Myles - Would be nice but Parra got no chance
Hutch Maiava - Good for depth

But apart from maybe Nate Myles (i stress "maybe"). Any of those replacing what we currently have isn't making our 2007 squad any stronger than our 2006 squad, and we know how bad they are going.

That list of off contract battlers from Newcastle also worries me. I better not see Todd Lowrie or Hagan's love child, Luke Quigley running around for us next year!

Seriously who was the last big name (no make that any name big or small) to sign with us? Glenn Morrison?! And he has already left!

Tame Tupou - can you imagine him on one wing and Guru Jnr on the other?

I'd say we'll be getting lots of Knights, Rabbitohs and Dragons fringe players, including Minichello,

I don't mind getting fringe players to add to our depth and fill vacancies in Premier League but we seriously need some established and quality players to replace the likes of Morrison, Widders, Morris and Stringer.
