The only reason I think the Dogs will go very well in 2008 is improved performances from players like Armit & Hickey to step up and fill the O'Meley void... and Michael Sullivan slotting into the #9 role.

The Bulldogs are missing the finals according to a lot of people. Now, of course this might happen (the competition is so close a game or two here and there will make the difference), but I think this will be the first year in a few that we should actually improve from one year to the next. We're 'only' losing Mark O'Meley (I say 'only' because, despite his great form of years gone by, I think he's been ordinary this year and is on the downward slide), and there's no more losing Price, Thurston, Asotasi, Anasta, Myles. On the upside... our PL side finished 1st, Flegg 2nd, and we look to be addressing one of biggest problems - dummy half. If Sullivan is half the player he was in '05, then we'll improve quite a lot. Anyway... I'm sure that thrilled everyone...
