I'd love to see Kobe nail the championship winning bucket over KG as time expires in game 7...

Lakers ftw...

TBH, i think the Suns will hit the straps soon.... hopefully.

Nash has been in the worst form of his life in the past month or two but i think he will turn it up soon.

I would have liked to see what the rockets could have done with Yao Ming. Other than that, i think its between LeBron and Bryant.

I won't do a full prediction just yet but I think the 08 Champs will be either;

Lakers: Gasol and Bryant are just amazing together. The best move LA ever made.

Celtics: just an amazing lineup

Rockets: They are unbeatable at the moment and if it continues they can take it out.

I want it to be the Lakers, but for some reason i have this gut feelings that Phoenix will bring things together. So far Shaq is going alright, their main problem has been their three point shooting. If they can bring that together, they'll be very hard to beat, even if they do start the playoffs without home-court.

I guess I'm a 76ers fan(Find it hard to pick a team but I have always like them and seem to follow them the most though I am very into Seattle and Portland) but I hate them making the play offs.. I guess they are so far from the lottery the should go for it but they really should of dealt Miller by now.

If you dealt Miller last season and or bought out Joe Smith. You have a good shot at landing Oden/Durant. Granted Thad is having a VERY nice season it would be nice for them to build around Iggy with a stud top 5 pick. They aren't good enough to win the title and will get bounced in the 1st round. Its painful to see them stuck in nothingness. Hopefully they can land a PF in free agency but I doubt it.

Anyway like I said... Hornets FTW for the play offs!

TBH, had you said Rockets with YAO, it could have been a possibility, but now, with an ageing motumbo i see problems... Although they are playing outstanding.

Phoenix just put in a good show against the Spurs, but nash has been off for a long time...

I can't pick yet but Boston Lakers and Cavs atm.

Mavericks for me.

After last season they'll realise finishing No.1 doesn't mean diddly squat in the play offs..especially in the west.
Look for them to hit their straps very soon.
Dirk is a very troubled man since their last 2 seasons exits, all the stories about him spending months in the Australian outback, growing a Santa Claus beard and living like a homeless person. He will go absolutely bizerk in the play offs. A 7 footer who can nail 3's, post up, drive, create his own shot...I've got my money on Dirk 'finals MVP'

Celtics look like ending Rockets streak whilst without counting my chickens before they hatch, hopefully suns can nail their 5th straight win. :D

They got it, and their average margine of victory is about +15 in that time. Suns 8 & 6 since the Shaq trade. I'm a Hawks fan but I love the Diesel so I'm hoping he gets another ring (because I'll have to wait for Hell to freeze over before I see the Hawks win a championship).

 Hawks... may... get... one...!

The problem with the shaq trade IMO was that before shaq, the suns played speed basketball. They worked off the fast break and ran and ran and ran... now i love shaq, but he just couldn't keep up. TBH, i think they have managed to play at a speed that shaq can play at and add to that, Shaq isn't the only player in the key they have to watch, thats for sure.

Suns are averaging 117.4 points in their last 5. They SHOULD get their 6th straight today.

TBH, 10 games back i was really iffy about whether the suns could pull it together, but now i think they really can challange Celtics, Lakers and the like.

True but the fact is Shaq hasn't come in looking to be "the man" which was the critical aspect. He's happy getting the rebound and igniting the break and then if that breaks down, getting into the post and settling for 10-12 points a game. Suns have beaten the Warriors, Celtics and Spurs since the trade so they're doing ok. The two teams I'd be worried about are the Hornets & Nuggets. If the Nuggets ever "get it" as a team, boy is that a scary roster.

Speaking of the Hornets, nice to see Chris Paul having an MVP-calibre year. I can't believe we passed on him. I was stoked when we got the number 2 because I knew the Bucks would take Bogut, who's nice but will never dominate. Chris Paul dominates, his numbers 21.6 points on near 50% shooting, 11.3 assists and 2.7 steals. Come on, that's as good as anybody that's played the point! And he's beginning to take over games in the fourth. I loved him at Wake Forest and I still watch him with interest.

It's definitely going to be hard pressed for the Spurs to beat any of the top 4 West teams now without home game advantage. Age may have finally caught up with them, but you never know what could happen with Duncan, Parker and Ginoblil irunning the show.

Constructive as always..

Spurs had a nice win thismorning, even though they played quite poorly.
Not happy about the Detroit game... Suns should have got that win... Looking forward to the boston matchup.

The Hornets have really been flying under the radar so far this year... They will take some stopping...
