Dirk is a very troubled man since their last 2 seasons exits, all the stories about him spending months in the Australian outback, growing a Santa Claus beard and living like a homeless person. He will go absolutely bizerk in the play offs. A 7 footer who can nail 3's, post up, drive, create his own shot...I've got my money on Dirk 'finals MVP'
I take all this back, now with Dirk injured i dont think Dallas will even make the play offs

the play offs in the west are going to be ridiculous, every series has the possibility of going 7.

farewell to chris webber, in the early 00's c-webb was regarded as one of the top 5 players in the nba..then he busted his knee and it all went downhill. I quickly became a kings fan after watching them play on fox. They were brilliant to watch. Sports Illistraed had them on the cover with the headline 'greatest show on court', bibby, turkalo, stojkovic and divac. Had it not been for stojkovics injury causing him to miss the western finals in 2002 they would have beaten the lakers. A Robert horry miracle shot also didnt help the kings. Thats still the greatest series ive ever seen in my 15 years as an nba fan. It went all the way to OT in game 7..amazing stuff.
come to think about it the lakers were lucky to get their 3 peat.
2000 west finals V Blazers, lakers were down 15 with 8 minutes left in game 7. Portland goes cold missing 15 shots in a row and the lakers some how win
2001 i'll give them that year, they smashed everyone. Should of been the first team ever to go undefeated in the play offs, they only lost 1 game.
2002 west finals V Kings, sacramento loose key player stojkovic for the series, horry hits a miracle shot in game 4, the infamous free throws incedent in game 6 where LA are awared 27 free throughs in the 4th quarter, and then game 7 goes to OT.
i guess champions make their own luck.
