Have out off watching the replay until today, couldn't bring myself to review it then thought , better do it

Apart from being pizzled off by the Storm scum cap cheating, I guess I want to make the following statement

We were going nowhere until 20 minutes to go, Matt Keating off and Kevin Kingstom gave us momentum from dummy half, this change should have been made sooner

I must have wanted to forget Lowrie kicking it on the last with JH and others lined up outside him 5 metres out, friggin stupid. Then the merkin ref calling a strip when dopey Slater dropped it cold , we would have got the ball on the halfway line with all the momentum

All I can add, is that it is very painful viewing as with a small amount of better play, an earlier substitution and a decent ref --- oh well, watch and remember how close we were

I hate the Melbourne Storm more than any other team. They are scum as is Bellamy, Slater and Cameron (two contracts) Smith.

Haven't watched the 01 or 09 gfs.

Neither have I watched the 98,99 or 2005 major Semis. I will when we finally win another GF whenever that may be.

The teams that the Storm knocked out prior to the GF disagree.

Same with me. You can add the 07 qualifier to my list of refuse to watch too

Still doesn't preclude us from being the rightful premiers. Nobody would argue. We were the best team going into the finals, in the finals and were robbed the GF. It is outrageous that there is no winner for 2009 after the Storm were stripped of the title for cheating.

Did the athletes that missed out by 1 position in the semi final and final in the 100m get considered when Ben Johnson was stripped of his gold?

Well it sorta does as that the reason the NRL gave for not giving it to us.

You cant award it to some one just because they were the best form team going into the GF, its not like there are no upsets in the NRL.

You really think that's the same scenario ?

Its what they do best, and I thought I read that Smith had signed 3 contracts, not 2

It happened in Italian football. Juventus were stripped of the title and the Italian Cup and it went to Inter IIRC in the cup. Didn't go to the team that Juve beat in the semi. It went to the team they beat in the final. That is the problem with League. Weak leadership who pander to every opinion so they make nobody the premiers. I bet most teams would have no problem with us being the eventual premiers all be it with an asterisk.

Well the Bronx and Manly had a big whinge saying that they should not have been knocked out by the cheats.

I guess they made enough noise.

I thought we should have been awarded it but that was the NRL's argument.

Just on the game, a huge tuning point was when Hayne didn't really contest the bomb and Inglis caught it to score. That and the Lowrie kick were really poor pieces of play that cost us big time.

I always thought that the bomb would have gone straight to Reddy who was sitting in the sheds at that point in time.

But I don't think it was all Hayne's fault. Ben Smith had been playing second row all year and was shifted out to the centres then straight away Melbourne kicked in his direction and he had no idea how to catch it.
Agree it was had major impact but not as much as the last minute strip penalty
