The Roosters website doesnt say a thing about member numbers.
I wonder how we're going?
I've got mine.
last year they had constant updates...this year nothing except vague hints that we're "on track"

Excellent stuff... it'll be great if you can get them by the first few rounds. Even better if they all turn up for round 1...Mate I think we are going for 10,000.
I thought we were aiming for 5,000 this year and 10,000 by 2012 or something.
Anyway, an update would be nice.
buying roosters membership today. il see if i can find out anything about our numbers.
There is no doubt that membership numbers across the NRL are low, and that the push for membership by the clubs and the code is something that has been left a lot longer than it should have.
The way you need to look at it though is at least the concept is now part of the game's long term plans and slowly but surely people are getting on board.
If you compare from 2006 to this season, which is on track to beat 100K worth of members across the game, there is a doubling of people getting into the concept. That's good growth and hopefully we can continue at a similar rate over the next 5-10 years of around 20K new people signing up as members, regardless of whether they are ticketed or non-ticketed per season.
Past figures:
2006: 48K
2007: 68K
2008: 92K
Actually one interesting thing worth thinking about, is if say if we get up to 150,000 members in the next few years, at the average ticketed membership price of $250, that would be worth $37.5 million to the game...per year...almost as much as some TV deals the code has signed in the past...
