I reckon Jason Cayless would be too soft these days.

been playing 40mins a game at St Helens in a four man prop rotation, money for jam in a dominant team. Spent a lot of last season injured. Not a good look for returning to do 60mins a game in NRL imo.

I used to want to see the Cayless brothers reunited at Parra a couple of years back. Given Nathan's salary quoted today, I think I'd happier seen them reunite elsewhere. Sad to lose a local junior after long service, but at that price you really have to be dominating week in week out to be worth it.

From that list, I'd be looking at:

Jeff Lima
Sika Manu
Dave Taylor
Tom Learoyd-Lars
Sia Soliola
Justin Poore

Sort out the forwards asap for 2010... worry about backs for 2011.

350k for either (or both) of those 2.

If we only manage to get 1, then pay for Creagh (250K?) or Bird (not more than 300K)

If we don't manage to get either, then don't bother spending the cash at all - none of the rest of the list is worth massive money - could pay overs (at this stage) for Taylor, who will be a fantastic forward in a year or 2. But we've spent up big on "future talent" lately...

Lima, Manu, Bailey and creight id offer $300-350 to and hope to be able to since atleast 2. Plus I have massive wraps on Va Ve and Spring (Titans Under 20), I would assume most are on year to year based contracts... talk to these guys, get one here. (althou Allgood and Te Whata had great games).

Glad we signed Allgood, with a good offseason he may be a year away from getting a start. (21 hitups and 170 odd meters is what we need for a prop)

We need forwards rather than backs, and possibly a halve or 5'8th with first grade experience and are on the rise. From that list I'd be looking at Shane Shackleton, Sika Manu, Shane Tronc, Dave Taylor, Justin Poore, Ben Creagh. In the halves, the only player I'd consider is Ben Roberts as a 5'8th, and Grant Rovelli if we could pay him a basic wage.

And Jeff Lima is not off contract, he re-signed with Melbourne for 3 years last year after the Dogs were chasing him.

We need a player like Greg Bird. I couldn't give a sh*t if he had recent problems. A player like him would transform our club and give us toughness.

I would also go for Morris, Creagh and Poore from the Dragons.

I'll take whatever's available...seriously I would.

Buddy if we are fair dinkum and I mean fair dinkum we need to get someone like Bird to the club. He is tough and no nonsense. He actually plays alot like my favourite player of all time, the great Ray Price. Just look how much Cronulla are struggling without him.

For all his talent Greg Bird is a massive grub and would probably spend more time suspended than actually playing.
