2009 Super League to Nine..??

I read on another forum that provided a link to a site called firsttoknow.com that the Nine Network had secured the rights to Suoer League for the 2009 season...

It was a rumour, but has anyone else heard about this...??

With new digital stations giving the free to air stations up to three channells to fill with content i can see NRL repeats, NYC games and ESL games all getting a run on 9.

Sunday afternoon after the Sunday Roast would be a great timeslot for ESL and for Nine.

I can't see it being worth their while. No offence to the ESL fans but it won't rate here, not a hope. Maybe if England start to beat us in the 4Nations there will be some interest but I don't know.

Would be good though, the more RL games on TV the better!

I've heard the rumour as well. With Channel 10 being so proactive about buying Nascar, NFL, IPL and most of the golf for their digital channel(s), Nine and Seven are after content.

It would be on delay, but still would be great. As said above, it would be the perfect thing to add to either Sunday just before the NRL.

I dont get this Im not knocking you mate I just dont get it.
For example I dont like Germanys Football team but Ill quite happily watch Bundesliga because I like Football, Its not the greatset standard of Football (similar to comparing NRL to SL) but at the end of the day its Football!

I could see 9 going with a 100% sports channell when they have 3 channells to fill with content - mostly league in winter - mostly cricket in summer.

I agree. I would like to be able to compare the standards and tactics of the NRL and ESL.
