2010 jersery, emblem & colours

I was wondering if you guys had any thoughts about our jersey for 2010. I am pretty sure that that eels change their jersey every 3 years. The current jersey came out in 2007 and 2009 would obviously make it 3 years. The New board of the both the leagues club and the football have empathised pride, passion and Parramatta for future direction of this club. If there was going to be a new jersey I would like the eels to use our 2009 heritage jersey or training. We need to follow the Cronulla, manly and south Sydney and stay true to our club colours and jerseys. I also like how the bulldogs have returned a traditional looking club emblem. And I think Parramatta should return to their original club emblem. I would also like our club to stop using other variants of blue (navy) and the colour green in most of our clubs merchandising. I don’t understand why our club uses a navy blue colour for all of our merchandising products. We are the mighty blue (royal blue) and gold! But we are not navy and gold. Does our marketing and merchandising department have no sense of history or tradition? Why do they have to play with our club colours and jersey? Is there anyone that we could contact at the club to express or ideas and what we want the Parramatta to look like in 2010?

Home Jersey:

Same as away (below) but the blue and gold colours are just revered.

Away Jersey:

Shorts:

Blue with 4 gold strips on the side from top to bottom (traditional Style)

Socks:

Blue with 4 gold strips across the middle (traditional style)

I like your ideas for the jersey. Retro 1980's. The logo could possibly have Est. 1947 on it somewhere. Bring it on.

i doubt they would revert back to that logo - but the jersey looks fantastic.

I think with all the changes going on at Parra a new look is imperative. This would include a new logo and jersey.

A modern logo with a retro 80s touch is what I would like to see, same for the jersey.

Can someone tell me is our main colour supposed to be yellow / gold or is it blue?

I always believed we were BLUE and gold... but i was only born in the 80's so feel free to correct me!

i love this years heritage jersey i have one have been wearing heaps the home strip hasn't left the cupboard since i got it.
I for the logo the current one is pretty good but the '80's round logo is the best maybe we could revert to a version of that with Est 1947 somewhere on it as well.

Good topic. I agree. The jersey as I stated in another threadl should be the 1983 outfit as Eric is wearing in my signature or the 1981 strip. I wouldn't mind the 1986 strip either. The jersey must be a V neck. The current collar looks stupid.

The emblem should be the one in my avatar as the current one was somewhat made to correlate with the ASIC emblem which is no longer relevant.

Regulars on here will know how I have been banging on for years about this. We should pick a jersey style and wear it forever !! Just like all AFL clubs do.

The one earlybird has shown would be my pick for sure. Lets get some tradition into the joint.

As for the logos, well the Aboriginal one does not represent an Eel so it is out. I like Beagles idea of going back to the eighties with our establishment date - that is great.

I also don't want a third style jersey like the current white one. What the hell has that got to do with parramatta. Just another of the old boards idea to get more money from supporters.

I will endeavour to find out exactly what they want to achieve and what thoughts have been raised.

Just on the white jersey, so we know who to blame that is the NRL and not the Old board. The Old board pushed to have 3 Jerseys to include the Blue, But the NRL has mandated a White or Gray "away" strip for all teams. As I have also said, it sells a Motza.
