There are still a few of these around for their home fans to be seated in.

North Queensland vs Storm match in round 3 is in doubt due to a motorcross event scheduled at DairyFarmers.

Titans play the Broncos in round 3 also, chance of a double header at Suncorp??

An easy 50K with those 4 teams.

I highly doubt it, Brisbane V Gold Coast is one of the higher drawing Broncos games of the season, which should pull in low to mid 40k - possibly more if both teams get off to a good start to the year.

Will they take it to Cairns?? Probably the logical choice

I honestly think it's the only thing they can do.

Would have to be the Sunday 2pm game, the lights up there aren't up to broadcast standard. Plus Slater is from Innisfail which is only about 45 minutes down the road, so I think a decent crowd (for cairns) would show up. Barlow park is not that great but it will have to do..............

I don't know who to blame over the whole fiasco, but I think stadiums qld need the biggest kick in the ass for allowing the event to happen in the first place. The grass here at DFS is pristine, I don't know why they would want to risk it for the sake of the Nitro Circus, I suppose the $$$$ is the main factor, but too bad if they have to returf the whole joint ala Newy..........

What about Mackay Stadium? Already holding a trial next year and will have a capacity around 12,000.

I noticed a few months ago that Richmond and the suns are playing games at an upgraded ground in Cairns. Any chance Barlow Park could get similar treatment?

Tigers confirm home venue split

Wests Tigers will host premiers St George-Illawarra Dragons at the historic Sydney Cricket Ground next year after today releasing its allocation of home match venues for 2011.

Campbelltown Sports Stadium and Leichhardt Oval will again enjoy four matches each while the Sydney Football Stadium (SFS) will play host to three Wests Tigers home games.

The first home game will be against the Warriors in round two at Leichhardt Oval.

The SCG match against the Dragons will be staged in round 22 and will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the famous 1961 Grand Final between Western Suburbs Magpies and St George.

Wests Tigers will welcome the Brisbane Broncos to the SFS over the Easter weekend in April. The match promises to be one of the most highly anticipated contests of the season.

The annual Heritage Round clash against South Sydney will next year be held at the SFS, which will also host another blockbuster match against the Parramatta Eels.

The ‘Battle of the West’ will continue when the Panthers make the journey to Campbelltown in Round 11.

Campbelltown Sports Stadium will also host a mouth watering contest against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in Round 16.

Leichhardt Oval will also host the Sydney Roosters and Melbourne Storm in what promises to be two blockbusters at the traditional ground.

Wests Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys believes the club has achieved a very fair split in terms of game allocations.

“It’s great to see Campbelltown and Leichhardt have four matches once again and there are some exciting clashes at those grounds,’’ Humphreys said.

“I’m really looking forward to celebrating our historical rivalry against the Dragons at the SCG. This is such an important part of our history and it will be an exciting time for the club.

“All in all, it promises to be yet another exhilarating year so we encourage supporters who are not Members to cross ‘the line that divides’ and help play an important role at Wests Tigers.”

Wests Tigers open their 2011 campaign against Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium on the weekend of March 11-14.

Probably been asked a million times but any idea when times for the first 5 weeks are announced?

I mean I don't expect Sharks to get any Friday night games but last thing I want to do is book down a Saturday flight and miss a game live.

No. If they had, it would've been posted here. It might be some time too, there's lots to work out with both grounds undergoing construction work.

It says in The Leader (the local St George/Shire paper) that the NRL has scheduled the round 2 match between the Dragons and Sharks at Toyota Park on Monday night despite the Sharks pushing for a Sunday afternoon match.

This could mean that the clubs have already found out the first 5 rounds of scheduling.
