I don't know. I think you could put in an U16 team and they'd probably still win. It's hard to tell until you see the level of the International sides.

The AIS-AFL U17s recently played the full NZ national team (which includes four Hawthorn international scholarship holders) and own by 91 points.

It was still a good hit out for the youngsters, the NZ blokes are tall, strong and physical - but the AIS guys have the advantage in speed, stamina and using the footy.

Most of those blokes will end up getting drafted.

I hope this game becomes a yearly event, it's good for the youngsters and it's good to guage how NZ footy is coming along.

if they got toweled by a bunch of U/17s, I'd say they are long way from coming along

What do you guys reckon the score would be if Australia played New Zealand at proper senior fumbleball level?

Are you referring to our national game? The correct name is Australian Football. Show some respect for Australian culture and tradition.

Only an idiot would suggest that others should show respect just because it's Australian.

Not everything that's Australian or happens in Australia is perfect.

See Geelong, the Port Arthur Massacre, Stolen Generations and AFL for examples.

In fact sydney has a long, proud history playing our national game.

Of course Southern NSW is exclusively Australian Football territory.

I don't live anywhere near either Sydney or sourthern NSW. Not that those things are true of course. But if it was a national game it would be big everywhere, and it is not. My home town has a league, union, soccer and hockey club but strangely no VFL.

No Australian Football? That is indeed a curious case.
