Cards should get Kyle Rudolph imo.

I think
#33 Bengals - Andy Dalton
#34 Bills - Da'Quan Bowers
#35 Patriots - Akeem Ayers
#36 Denver - Stephen Paea
#37 Cleveland - Greg Little
#38 Arizona - Kyle Rudolph
#39 Tennessee - Marvin Austin
#40 Dallas - Aaron Williams
#41 Washington - Ryan Mallet
#42 Houston - Brooks Reed

What you think?

Yeah good point. I forgot about Rudolph, would be a great pick.

I also think 49ers may jump up to #33 instead of the Bengals.

Why the cry-babyness from bush? Ingram can't handle a full workload, the dude averaged 14 carries a game in college.

He isn't the feature back any more.

Pierre Thomas was re-signed. Bush hasn't been I don't think.

Potentially.

The Pats could probably get more from the 49ers than the Bengals who are only 2 spots down...and could probably take the chance and maybe get Mallet.

I wouldn't be against Bills trading back and grabbing a first for 2012 and 2nd this year...I like the crop of QB's next year a lot better.

Can't believe the Newton hype. Panthers should have drafted defense and QB next year.

Clausen won't win them many games this year and I doubt Richardson will be happy shelling out big bucks for another high draft pick when they have what they think is their long term solution in Newton.

Clausen is a back up at best.

IMO, the Broncos got the best overall player in the draft and will provide an immediate impact.

Looks like another Broncos jersey to add to the list.

Elway x 3 (one signed)
Davis
Dawkins
Decker
Miller

You wont get that for the pick tomorrow... maybe a 2nd this year and next. Cant see first rounders being traded tomorrow.

Man I'm really happy the Cards got Peterson. Pairing him and Rodgers-Cromartie has the potential to be amazing. Can't wait to see who else the Cards pick up.

Cornerback was not a need in the team. While Petersen could be a great player, they had need elsewhere in the team.

Based totally on team needs I would rate the selection a D

The Cardinals whole team is a need. With the exception of WR, Kicker and Punter our team is shit. Not only that but their Defense is shocking (It cost us the Superbowl). With the Peterson pick, the defensive backs are DRC, Peterson, Kerry Rhodes and Adrian Wilson. That's a pretty good secondary if you ask me.

I'm a fan of going Best Player Available and I'm glad they went Peterson over someone like Gabbert. Drafting QB's in the NFL is the ultimate roll of the dice, the busts outweigh the great picks overall and I was never a fan of Gabbert, he had too many question marks over him. With Peterson they have what some people have said to be the best player in the Draft, immediately strengthens the team and can come in and make a difference straight away.

As I said I'm very happy with the pick and look forward to see who else they select.

My run down on the draft... im bored, on call so cant drink and my gf is watching the royal wedding

1 Cam Newton QB Panthers
Lead up: I know they are going Qb, im hoping they dont but i know they are.
The Pick: Dont like it, he's a great athlete, he's got great intangibles but i dont see him as a SB winning QB
The Reaction: Not surprised, i guess you talk yourself out of it in mocks but he's got the highest upside in the draft.

2 Von Miller OLB Broncos
Lead Up: Im on a one track mind here thinking Dareus goes here, im not really really looking at other options:
The Pick: Love the player, he maybe the best player in this draft. But not sure how he'll work in the Denver 4-3 front. I heard WLB, and that gives them a genuine pass rusher but he's going to be dropping back into coverage a lot in a 43 D and thats gonna take a bit way from his rushing abilities.
The Reaction: Surprised, not in a personel front, as John Fox likes taking guys that are safe, but purely from a scheme perspective, will be interesting to see how they intergrate his pash rushing abilities. One things for sure, with Dummerviel back, the broncos are gonna be getting after the QB

3 Marcell Dareus DT
Lead Up: With Dareus on the board, it can only be him surely?! The 32nd rank run defense simply can NOT pass up on this guy, could they? Is the Dareus slide on?
The Pick: Love it. Love the player, the position, love the need from the Bills. They have a lot of needs everywhere but you wont win many football games without being able to stop the run. This guy, will go a long way to stopping the run
The Reaction: Phew, the Dareus slide doesnt happen. No brainner pick.

4 A.J. Green WR Bengals
Lead Up: Has to be Green. TO is out, Ocho is tweeting his time is done, they are desperate to hold onto Palmer, has to be the WR freak.
The Pick: No brainer. AJ is an animal, he has ridiculously good hands, great body control and he's a #1 WR from day 1. Maybe a Pro Bowl rookie WR. This kid is a beast. If Carson Palmer sticks around, dont sleep on this guy in Fantasy Drafts.
The Reaction: Would have surprised me if it was anything else. Good pick

5 Patrick Peterson DB Cardinals
Lead Up: Not sure what they are going to, thinking this is where it could all get interesting.
The Pick: Peterson is one of the best DB's to come out in years. Not really a need for the Cards but they have a long history of taking the best guy there. And that was most certainly Peterson.
The Reaction: I like it, not sure it was needed but everyone in this league needs a shut down corner. Unless your QB's are Aso opposite Revis, you need a shut down corner. He could be one.

6 Julio Jones WR Falcons via Browns
Lead Up: Browns are taking Jones, hmmm this is taking awhile, who wants Jones more than the Browns? Ahh the Falcons
The Pick: This kid is a beast, suspect hands as pointed out on the coverage but he is a beast, he high points the ball, and when he catches it, he's an animal in YAC.
The Reaction: WOOOOOW! Matt Ryan is gonna have some fun... Gonzo, Roddy and now Jones... you gotta cover them all, which is gonna also open up the run game, Turner if injury free could be the NFL leading rusher this coming season. SB move? Maybe. Big losers of this move - anyone having to play Matt Ryan's falcons, good luck with that.

7 Aldon Smith DE 49ers
Lead up: Im thinking they bite on the Blaine Gabbert cherry, na, maybe not, Luck is coming out next year, they'll want him...
The Pick: Love this kid, got drafted higher than i thought he would but the guy can get after the QB, DE's are risky business though, but this guy can make it happen.
The Reaction: Wasnt sure why they went with this at first but its a good pick, he's a good player and as far as DE's go, pretty safe imo. Slightly surprised though

8 Jake Locker QB Titans
Lead Up: Its Fairley here or maybe Gabbert, for their sake i hope its Fairley, Gabbert is poo.
The Pick: I like it, its a reach no question but ive said for a long time this kid is going to be the best QB to come out of this draft. I dont know how good he'll be, but he's a player. Run, and Run behind CJ2K and then play action and get him on the move where he's amazingly accruate. He'll have some teething problems but he'll come good
The Reaction: Good pick, but a reach, should have traded back and picked up extra compensation, and still got Locker imo. But a good pick.

9 Tyron Smith OT Cowboys
Lead Up: Prince Amakareararara what ever. He's going here, big D got torched deep too much and they face Vick and D-jax twice a year, and Eli and Hicks twice a year. Prince Amukamara is the pick. Gee this is taking long, they are trying to trade out, maybe Philli moving up for Prince??!
The Pick: Tyron Smith is the most athletic tackle in the draft and this is probably the best pick they could have made, Romo missed an entire year because they couldnt protect him.
The Reaction: Not the sexy pick i was expecting from Jones, smart pick, i like it.

10 Blaine Gabbert QB Jaguars via Redskins
Lead Up: Redskins need a QB, they need some oline talent, they need an RB, they need a new everything, could go anywhere but the Gabbert slide stops here i think. Jags up, guess they wanted Gabbert more than the skins.
The Pick: Dont like it, he's a horribly overrated player, he's nice and accurate but he panics when his primary read is covered and he cant handle the blitz. He will take some time but i think this is a bust pick.
The Reaction: Damn, was hoping the skins would pick up Busty McBust. But LOL @ Jags. Shoulda taken Tebow last year when they had the chance

11 J.J. Watt DE Texans
Lead Up: Woah! Lucky Texans, Prince falls into their laps. No brainer for a team with such a **** secondary.
The Pick: Love this player, he's going to really improve the Texans D, all he does is produce. The texans might have landed the next Jarad Allen. Nice move.
The Reaction: Say what? Wow, the Prince slide is offically on! But gee i like this Watt kid, he's gonna be good for them.

12 Christian Ponder QB Vikings
Lead Up: With Newtown, Locker and Gabbert off the board, they gotta trade out here, or maybe taken Cameron Jordan if they are forced to pick. The Pick: Dont mind the player but that is a horrible horrible spot for him, they got scared and reached in a rather large way. Ponder is a smart guy who will one day be a good QB, he's not ready to go yet and they need a guy ready to go now.
The Reaction: LOL, Goddell just read out the wrong name, poor Ponder, he's got his hopes up, wonder who the real pick is.... haha no one has noticed yet... wait, i think they've really picked Ponder. WTF?

13 Nick Fairley DT Lions
Lead Up: Lions are going OT or trading back, Prince Amakumara is the pick if they dont like the OT's here. Actually the Prince slide stops here i recon.
The Pick: This guy was mocked at the #1 over all talent only a few months ago, others over took him but this guy was dominate. He just collapses pockets and disruptes QB's and stuffs the run. This years Ndomakung Suh.
The Reaction: HOLLLLLLY ****. The lions just got real real bad on that D. Suh and Fairley in the middle. Bad news for anyone playing them who wants to run the ball. Lions D is for real. Wow.

14 Robert Quinn DE Rams
Lead Up: The Rams will be **** spewing that the lions got Fairley, they'd have raced to the podium to snear him. I had them getting Liuget so i guess thats the pick still.
The Player: Robert Quinn is a player, he's been rising up the boards all off season, was always going to be picked up earlier than expected. I like the player and i like the pick. He'll do well at the Rams. They gotta get Bradford some weapons though.
The Reaction: Shocked its not Liuget but thats a good pick none the less.

15 Mike Pouncey C/G Dolphins
Lead Up: They need a QB, they need a RB and they need an Oline, no good QB's for this spot and Ingram was a Hiesman trophey winner. And so ends the Wildcat days.
The Pick: Smart, no point having a QB or a RB if you dont have the line to let them do their jobs. Weak RB draft imo, fix the line first and then worry about the specialists.
The Reaction: Not sure Pouncey is that good, he's #2 Guard in my view but he's a good player, someone was always going to reach on the back of twin brothers Maurkice's succcess last year. He's good but he's not Maurkice.

16 Ryan Kerrigan DE Redskins via Jaguars
Lead Up: Mallet might go here, it makes sense. Maybe a reach for a WR like Titus Young. Mallet sucks, hope its Mallet haha.
The Pick: Ok, gotta pay it, its a great pick, Kerrigan is a good player who is going t be very good for them. Safe pick and a guy know will not Albert Haynesworth it up. He'll have to be accounted for on every play.
The Reaction: Damn, that was a good, smart pick. Stoooopid Redskins. :(

17 Nate Solder OT Patriots
Lead Up: Wow, the Pats are gonna get their bell cow RB. Ingram running between the tackles and Brady in the pass game, thats tough.
The Pick: Good player, a guy i would have liked to see in Philli, he's going to be a starter on the line for a long time. He's got the ability to play LT in the pros. Typical safe forward thinking Bellichick pick.
The Reaction: Well the Prince Amukamara slide is on, and he can welcome to the slide train, the Mark Ingram carrage. Gotta protect Tom Terrific, thats number #1 rule in the Patriots book

18 Corey Liuget DT Chargers
Lead Up: Not sure here, they are #1 on O and #1 on D. If they could draft an entire ST with this pick, they would... best player on the board maybe? Cameron Jordan is it i think.
The Pick: Surprised he's still on the board but he is and the Chargers get a real good player here to rotate on their line. Not a need but a good player who will feature straight away.
The Reaction: I like the player and he didnt fill a need but he's a good player and he's fantastic value here for the Bolts. I like it.

19 Prince Amukamara DB Giants
Lead Up: They gotta go OT, there is still 2-3 good ones there and they need to protect Eli. He's running for his life behind the aging line.
The Pick: The Prince slide stops! Good player but he's got some issue, he's going to take time to adjust to the pro style game but he can play the corner position. NYG got torched regularly, particularly by DeSean Jackson and Philli, they face them 2 times a year. Time to try and stop the rot against the quick strike eagles.
The Reaction: Hope we've got early games on them, its going to be a lot harder for us to score on them quickly when Prince finds his feet at the pro level. Good pick, unfortunately. Damn, wish we'd have traded up for him.

20 Adrian Clayborn DE Buccaneers
Lead Up: They are going to go DE, with Amakurama off the board, they are going DE. Is it Howard, is it Bowers or is it Clayborn.
The Pick: Its a risk, due to medical issues from birth. He has nerve damage and has limited use of his right arm but its never stopped him in all his college career, as a scount said -"ill take a one armed ass kicker over most of these guys in the draft". He'll have to play on the right so to be rushing using his left arm, but he makes plays.
The Reaction: Good pick, for a resurgance of the Bucs, he'll help that team, a lot.

21 Phil Taylor DT Browns via Cheifs
Lead Up: Cheifs are going Castonzo, or maybe a WR but there is no... of never mind the Browns move back up. Does the Bowers slide stop here? Was the #1 pick 3 months ago.
The Pick: Ok... yea... ok, thats an ok pick. He's unlikely to bust and he fills a need i guess but he's not really bang for their buck imo. Its a reach. He's a solid player who will start and do his job, not a Pro Bowl calibre rookie.
The Reaction: Na, not feeling it, he's a good player but i cant help but think they should have stayed at #6 and got Colt McCoy someone to bloody throw too.

22 Anthony Castonzo OT Colts
Lead Up: Gotta protect Payten. Is it Castonzo or Camiri?
The Pick: Good player, one of the better tackles in the draft. Probably the most pro ready. They failed to live up to their expectations because Payten isnt a guy who extends the play, get a glove on him and he's down. So they need to protect him better.
The Reaction: No shock. Good safe pick.

23 Danny Watkins OG Eagles
Lead Up: Im a tad worried we're going to take Jimmy Smith, i know lots of people like him, i dont. He's gonna bust. We need to go oline. At this stage, im praying for Gabe Carimi.
The Pick: Ok, i dont mind it, its not flashy and i wonder why its not Carimi. But this is imo the best Guard in the draft. He's better than Pouncey who went nearly 10 picks ago. He's versitile and can play tackle, guard and centre, we need help all over the line and he wont be the last high pick used on the line.
The Reaction: Phew its not Smith, why wasnt it Camiri? Oh well, he plugs and plays from day dot and is a huge improvement. Kick Herremans to the right side and play Watkins next to Peters on the left. Now we just need a RT, and C. Maybe only one if we're confident Nick Cole can go. This guy is old though, thats a worry.

24 Cameron Jordan DE Saints
Lead Up: Bowers might go here, that or Cam Jordan. Its a DE for sure.
The Pick: Saints play it safe and give the nod to Jordan, Bowers would have been the pick for me, bit either way they've got a guy to help boost the pass rush, and either prospect will be fun to watch Williams work with.
The Reaction: I like the pick and i think he will go well there, its a clear need and its no shock to see it happen, remarkable that the consensus #1 pick 3 months ago is now likely to slide out of the first round.

25 James Carpenter OG Seahawks
Lead Up: Jimmy Smith, Dalton or Mallet is here. Those are their needs. Gotta be one of them.
The Player: He's not a first rounder, PFW projected him as a 3-4th rounder. If they wanted to go Oline, Clint Boling is the guy imo.
The Reaction: Kind of under whelmed, the Seahawks were the big winners of last years draft imo. And with their 1 pick so far, i think they've faired the worst.

26 Jonathan Baldwin WR Chiefs via Browns via Falcons - Ravens forfit!
Lead Up: Ravens pick, waiting, waiting, still waiting... must be a trade... 00 on the clock, what? no trade and no pick? Ravens didnt get it in on time. LOL
Cheifs have now have a chance at Camiri, not much in terms of WR for value here
The Player: Ok, so they went WR anyways. He's a big physical guy and quite fast for his size, will give them a viable option outside Dwayne Bowe. Its a reach though, and ive got Torrey Smith, Titus Young and Tandon Dross ahead of Baldwin.
The Reaction: Kind of shocked, because there are better players on the board, i think they regret moving back and missing the oline talent. Its a reach pick, no question.

27 Jimmy Smith DB Ravens
The Lead Up: So the Ravens are up again due to the lack pick forfit... they waste no time getting the pick in. Had a trade lined up, fell through on miscommunication, since the pick is in, its gotta be CB. Jimmy Smith come on down.
The Player: Look i wont shy away from it, i dont think he'll be as good as the scouts say. I think he'll bust but at this point the Ravens need CB's and he's the best left. a lot of upsize, and some scouts think he's the best pure corner in the draft. Good luck to them.
The Pick: I dont like it because i dont rate him, if i rated him as highly as others, itd be a good pick

28 Mark Ingram RB via Patriots
Lead Up: No way the Pats keep this pick... and they dont, NO move up... is it for Bowers or Ingram? One slide will stop here
The Pick: Hard to argue with a 2009 Heisman trophey winner. He will return the Saints to their balanced offense and give Brees something to keep the pressure off the pass game. He's a 1000 yard rusher from year 1 imo.
The Reaction: Great pick, great move but Reggie Bush wont like this. But he's exactly what the saints need, no shock here.

29 Gabe Carimi OT Bears
Lead Up - The Camiri slide stops here.
The Pick: Good solid line player who will start day one and help Cutler stay up right. He's a good solid safe pick and the Bears are stoked he fell to them.
The Reaction: No brainer, move on with life.

30 Muhammad Wilkerson DE Jets
Lead Up: couldnt care less! I hate the jets but for sure it will be dline, probably DE to replace Gholston. Bowers? Hope its not Bowers.
The Pick: Good player who will produce, he's not as flashy as Gholston or even as Bowers would be but i think they were significantly burnt on the Gholston pick, so they go safe and take Wilkerson.
The Reaction: Standard stuff from Rex Ryan, a tad surprised he ignored the freakish talents of Bowers but this is a safe productive pick.

31 Cameron Heyward DE Steelers
Lead Up: Damn this draft has been long, kinda getting over it at the moment. Pouncey would have liked to be the pick here. He's long gone... I guess OLine makes sense. Could be CB though. Or anything. Best guy there i recon.
The Pick: Im not so sure, i think in other systems he would be a flop but under Tomlin and a tough Steelers D, they'll probably turn him into a pro bowler, its just what they do. He fits their schemes and Dick LeBeau will find ways to get him in the backfield.
The Reaction: Good team gets slightly better... again, no Bowers, wow teams must really be scared of his knee.

32 Derek Sherrod OT Packers
Lead Up: Last pick, SB Champs... no obvious need except for the Oline, as you can never have too much protection when Aaron Rodgers is your QB. Their top ranked Oline left will go, unless they trade out for a team wanting Bowers.
The Pick: He's a tough kid who suits the line he'll play in, might not be a starter from day one, but it allows them to keep Bulaga on the right as Sherrod is a natural LT. If he pans out the way they'd hope Rodgers is gonna have all day to find recievers
The Pick: Good strong pick, with a good strong player who they can take their time to mould. Cant not like it.

great pick by the rams. this guy would have been top 3 if he wasn't suspended and didn't have a brain tumor and out of the game for a year. can you say pass rush - long, quinn, hall, selvie. watch out nfc west qbs.

please, please, please cards sign marc bulger. bulger, smith and fake jesus would be a dream for the rams dline.

i think the redskins would have taken locker if the titans didn't. lucky for him he landed at the titans. he is vince young without the attitude and no work ethic. the titans will put the load on cj so locker can feel his way into the league.
