NRL Trial Game – February 12, 2011

Melbourne Storm will be playing in the Trial Game next February, with details needing confirmation from the Dragons for their after their finals success. They are due to play in the Club Champions game in the UK around the same time.
Details will be available soon for sponsor packages and ticketing.

Melbourne and the date are confirmed! Just waiting on Dragons plans for WCC. Given we are a nice stop over on way to England if the timing falls right they could come here for a week or two for preseason training, play the trial game and then head off to England.

What's the ideal number of trial games? I think four is about right, with the last one played mid week to give a long (10-12 day) rest before the season proper. It's a long season with more than four, but I am not sure that three is enough.

Only saying what was reported in the Tele. They muffed up a few things like saying the Warriors played the Eels same day as Roosters on Feb 12 in NZ... so it may not be reliable. What is known that if it is to go ahead it more than likely can't be held at W'gong.

Crap to see bodgey and rediculous "trophies" masking a game in Sydney - needed like a hole in the head. Battle For The West at Penruff? PLay it at Dubbo or Nyngan ffs! And the Back to Redfern? What does that prove? Too far to walk up the hill to the SFS ffs?

Pity about the WCC and the Charity Shield. Saints should stay at home and Parra go to wigan - we were robbed of our chance last year.

Sounds like the Dragons have decided to book every venue in some wierd attempt to avoid being bagged for f*cking up the WCC and the Charity Shield.
