How many times did you win games you had no right to win. How many times was victory snatched from the jaws of defeat.

I'm never one to defend United but this is exactly what champion teams do. Every championship winning team in history has done the same thing. It's what makes them champions.

We underperformed badly this season and still finished three points off second

If 'the field' is where you are, we'll have to come back to it too...
What are you on. Going into the final day you could have easily finished below us. We've gotten more points over the last 2 seasons than you have.

This idea that you're miles ahead of us is fantasy.

There was 5 points separating City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

And for the first time in years we have a comparable amount of money to spend. And we won't be spending any of the summer wasting time transitioning from one manager to another.

Wasn't bagging them. Deserving champs. Just saying I can't see Moyes getting as much out of this squad. I don't think there is any talent difference between them and the rest of the top 4. And now that they'll be managed by a mortal I think going into next season there is not much at all separating the top 4.

They've won 2 European trophies in 12 months. The Goners haven't won one since 1994.
And we've gotten more points over the last 2 years than Chelsea has.

Over the last 76 games in the League, the most important competition of all, we've done better than them.

And can we please stop pretending Europa is a legitimate competition for big clubs. FFS they had to fail in the CL to even play in Europa. We weren't in Europa because we did the silly thing and win too many games.

Moyes has been the 2nd best manager in England for a very long time. I'd be surprised if United aren't comfortably top 2 again next season.

And thus begins the 90 day wait

Correct

As I said, we underperformed

You didn't

Maybe you should...

Agreed, although as things stand today our squad is stronger than yours

And if it comes down to management, I'd be very happy to have Mourinho up against Moyes, Pellegrini and Wenger

By a whole five points. Bravo...

Meanwhile we played 23 more games that your mob because we were busy winning three cups

Including the most important competition of all...

A season I will never forget. Slightly concerned but also fascinated to see how United does after Sir Alex.

I don't think any team will win by 20 points next season. United, Chelsea and City bringing in new managers and Arsenal seemingly having money to spend will make it an unpredictable season.

I already cannot wait for day 1.

Alright then BunniesMan. You say that the money's equal, which I'm not really buying but lets put that aside.

A player has a choice, they can choose either.

A) A club that won the Premier League a decade ago.
A club that has no European record.
A club that has Arsene Wenger as manager.

B) A club that last won the Premier League a few years back.
A club that has won the Champions League and the Europa League in the last two years.
A club that has Jose Mourinho as manager.

Lol jose mourinho, now he a club he has gobe to wear he didnt spend 200+ million to win,

Heres one for you.

Play for a club that is one of the most respected in the world with a wonderful history, and a well respected manger.

Or play for a club that had barely any history for 90 years until they were bought by the russian mob, and ended up spending half a billion dollars to win, with a whos well known for being a pretentious douchebag.

If Jose is so great, how come his team was destroyed in the BL, and in CL, oh and again the the copa del rey.

Great managers are the ones that do alot with little to spend, Wenger, Moyes, Klopp, Not ones like Mancini and Mourinho that need 100s of millions to compete.

When Arsene Wenger wins the League in four different countries and the UCL for three different teams, then maybe you can try to argue that Mourinho is a bad coach. Otherwise, stop being an idiot. Also, trying to say the guy relies on money when he won the UCL with Porto =:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I'm happy for Spurs, not really disappointed given we lacked a form striker for all but the first ten weeks of the season and many of our key players were out injured for long periods of time - or the whole season, in the case of the quality Sandro and Kaboul. Given the players we lost as well, and that it is our highest ever points total in the Premier League era - indicating the strength of our rivals - I think we have definitely improved under AVB. All in all, a great season that would have been a mediocre one if not for Bale. For next season, having Sandro and Kaboul back as well as a fully fit Dembele will be a big improvement. On the striker front, we really need either Adebayor/Defoe/Dempsey to lift their game, or for us to take a punt on a quality striker such as Leandro.

I don't think either Chelsea or Arsenal can say they had particuarly "good" seasons.

Chelsea - with their squad, wage bill and activity in the transfer market they really should be pushing for the title. Especially with Man City having an average year 2nd should have been on the cards. Of course, they won the Europa League but that doesn't mask the fact that they should have been in the Champions League knockout stages.

Arsenal - Sure, another Wenger Cup victory (4th place) but so they should with a wage bill about 50% more than Spurs. Again no trophy, and knocked out of a cup by Bradford... did I read someone a few pages ago say that Rooney is a chance to go to Arsenal?? Please..

Can't wait until next season!

Lol

Gunners and Chelsea finished 14 and 16 points behind the winners and there is an argument between those clubs fans about who did better.. That's gold..

Neither did anything other than make up the numbers like every other club..

There isn't even a point to be arguing really..

If I was said player, I'd honestly choose Arsenal. There is more stability there. Then play my arse off and wait to get offered a Liverpool contract. ;-)

Mourinho only has 2 UCL, his Porto achievement was wonderful and ill never doubt that, but after 2004 he had lived off the need to buy teams to win titles, Chelsea, Inter and Madrid have a combined transfer fees of close to 1.2 billion dollars in his time.

Onto Arsenal, after a terrible Nov to Feb, we really bounced back in the league to steal 4th from the tiny tots.
With some smart transfers in the summer, Jovetic, Grenier and Gonalons and some depth, we should be able to challenge for the first time since 07.
