Can someone figure out how the positional awards are judged, Woods and Matulino look set to finish in the top 10 overall but missed out to Kasiano for prop of the year

Criteria #1 - do they play for the dogs
Optional criteria - Dally M points

A lot of players in teams with guys like Barba won't be winning dally m points. Should the exclude them from positional awards?

The sooner it becomes a non-Daily Telegraph award the better.

They might contribute to some of the awards, but the points for each game are awarded by one of the commentators from the host broadcaster - Channel 9, Fox Sports or Sky NZ

Well considering how hard it is to win points in a beaten team I think Woods and Matulino deserve the award more than Kasiano, if someone could pull up their stats I'm sure they'd be well ahead of Kasiano
