Really? Do you know a better way to support your club than by going to the games and being the 18th man?
And is there a better way to do that than through a membership?

I've been thinking about becoming a member for years - never have taken the final step. To me, the value isn't there. The discount is lost if you can't attend a game or two and the extras aren't making up for it. It is currently pretty easy to just buy tickets to the games I attend and I can spread the cost over the year rather than a lump sum up front.

Just a few little things could really make a culture of membership in the club and make you want to do it. Treat members like something a bit special. Hand out some more banners/scarves/hats whatever. Show a little bit of attention to them. I haven't got anything off the top of my head, but it isn't my job to come up with it.

Basically, for me, paying a lump sum up front with the chance I'll probably miss 2 games a year isn't worth becoming a member. If games themselves felt different as a member, I would jump on it ASAP.

So, I'm not a troll. I pay attention to the membership thread for every club that has one.

But dont the XXXX fanatics sound a bit lame? If the club wanted a legit hardcore supporter base then surely it would be better to open one end of the ground as GA? I know that Brisbane is a bit far removed from the tribalism of Sydney but really, if you want stark raving mad hooligans sitting with eachother at the game then its best not to make it a family friendly wank fest

It's not as if the club needs the money.

I suppose Paul White won't receive his golden toilet seat if we don't sign up for memberships. A pity.

You really have no clue what being a supporter is about, do you?

I'll give you a hint: It's in the word! ;-)

Yeah, I caught it today on the website.

Good ad, probably their best membership ad.

Of course it can't compare to the awesomeness of the NRMA ads.

Has anyone got any seat allocations yet for there memberships?? We upgraded our awesome foursome from last year but haven't heard anything from them. Seeing as the cowboys game has gone on sale I am starting to get a bit worried...

As an aside, how long have they had these Fanatics and Diehard support groups? Is this the first or second year?[/QUOTE]

I was a 'die hard' member from 2006 until this year and switched to an 'awesome foursome' membership only because I moved out of Brisbane.
I think having a seat to every home game in the greatest stadium in the country is incentive enough, well for me anyway.
