Pretty much what I'd go with, hopefully BMM can continue to develop and become a wild card off the bench for us. Gotta say, his appearances in the top grade haven't been all that inspiring, has looked unmotivated and out of his depth at times this year.

True, but he did not have an off-season (had off-season surgery) and to me looks overweight. Plus he got injured in his first start this year.

With a full pre-season under his belt I think he'll go much better next year.

I saw him play in the last round last year at Parramatta in the NYC, was all fired up & had a great game (as did Sironen) but BMM was playing wide virtually as a centre??? Haven't seen that same fire in the NRL much though.....I agree he does look to be carrying a bit of weight & lacking fitness

I am still not sold on miller, I'm not sure why he has so much love on here.

There are two reasons.
1. The media say he is good.
2. He hasn't played enough games as an unimpeded halfback in the NRL yet to show that he is not in fact Scott Prince in disguise.

He may be better than Slater, Dugan and Boyd combined x 50 but not one club rates Meaney so we wont be seeing him regularly in the NRL anytime soon. Think of all the injuries this year. Hasnt led to much game time for him. If he couldnt get a run this year, he wont get one next year.
you aren't taking the coach into account.

In times when we have had Matt Head and Josh Lewis languishing in lower grades while John Morris butchered our attack at halfback in first grade.

Or when He played Danny Galea at prop when he had some injuries a few years back, instead of bringing an actual prop up from NSW Cup.

Or playing a halfback at centre for most of this year instead of bringing an actual centre up from NSW Cup who would've been a mile better, even if they weren't NRL quality.

The fact Meaney, or Mullaney for that matter, hasn't played in the NRL much isn't completely to do with their ability, but with the dickhead coaching the team that thinks a halfback is better when it is abundantly clear to all, that he is not.

Meaney is a better Fullback than Moltzen
Meaney is a better Centre than Moltzen
Meaney is a better winger than Ryan

These are simple facts, and are proof enough that Meaney should have been considered a member of our 17 ahead of Ryan and Moltzen for most of this season.

Yes Sheens doesnt rate him. We all know that.

My point is that if he was any good, another club would have signed him. Clearly the Tigers wouldnt mind him leaving. Same with Mullaney. You would think there would be a bidding war for his services given his toyota cup record. But no. Same with Nicholls, Lazarus and various other kangaroos that Sheens doesnt pick who play in reserves. The fact no club wants them means that they are probably not much good.

Read in the RLW last week that Heighington and Ryan were told they were free to talk with other clubs. They went to Penrith and got an offer, came back to the Tigers and asked for a release and the Tigers said no.

WTF is going on at this club?

Again, maybe it's the Dwyer situation, they wouldn't want Heighington to leave now & Ryan is starting to play a bit as well?

Ryan was part of a package. So when the tigers knocked Rhino back their was no deal left for Ryan and you would imagine the Dwyer thing was the reason Rhino got a knock back or maybe the club was worried about a backlash from its members and fans. They may have also missed out on a signing that we did not know about although that is unlikely as their are more leaks in a football club than the Titanic. Anyway Iam happy he is still on board

Beau seems to have lifted his game ever since too, and thats not easy when playing wing with Moltzen at FB throwing Kamikaze passes on kick returns. I used to have a wrap on Moltzen till he was injured last year (and still rate him at 7) but some of his 'decisions' at FB this year defy logic......I certainly wouldn't want to be on the receiving end. IMO he is a waste of talent at FB, I think you are either born to a FB or not. You can't be manufactured into one, but the great man sheens has other ideas

Some players can be manufactured into great fullbacks.

Moltzen isn't one of them

Shannon McPherson has taken his game to a new level since moving to prop. He could be the type of tough no nonsense prop we could buy at a reasonable price now that he is a free agent? Seems to me to be a good buy.
