Give Miller a whole off season with the 7 on his training shirt and a whole season with the 7 on his back. He could be anything but with Sheen's famous in one week out the next he'll be nothing. I'd rather run 15th with a set spine than 9th chopping & changing every week.

We only have one bonafide NRL halfback and although inexperienced Miller is the only option. Otherwise Marshall stays at 1/2 and Anasta to 5/8 or vice versa. I actually only like Anasta for the bench utility role and is a signing that makes no sense.

No club is going to release their halfback now, we should instead look at signing a NSW Cup halfback with some first grade experience on a one year deal and see how they go. Someone like Trent Hodgkinson would be good. Sure he isn't a world beater but he wouldn't break the bank and it lets us play Benji at 6, Robbie at 9 and Braith at 13. If he is a success we can sign him up long term, and if he isn't we can look elsewhere next season.

I'd kept it simple and retain the players we have now- Miller & Moltzen. If Moltzen doesnt like thigns he can go and offer to retain Chisholm.

Edit- Moltzen & Chisholm bring utility value and Miller would be worth developing as the future main halfback with 2013 as understudy to Moltzen.

It was a suggestion, no club is going to release their first choice halfback in October/November, we can either bring in a NSW Cup halfback, go without or shift Benji/Braith/Robbie there.

Miller Miller Miller.

Like the bloke above said, give him the 7 training shirt and have him play there win lose or draw all of 2013... Lets develop something rather than constant band aids.

I've heard Humble was released for salary cap reasons. Which brings a couple of questions and/or observations.

a/ how can a player whose contract ended at 2012 be considered 'released' for salary cap reasons? As far as I know he didnt have an option for a further year.

b/ if they're releasing players for salary cap reasons surely they must consider value to the club. How does Reddy escape the axe? Also, I presume that is the reason Ayshford has been granted permission to try to find a new home.

c/ it seems the salary cap is inplay and in that instance we really have to question to use of so much space ($500k p.a) in signing Blair. He is a second rower / part time prop. That is not a spine position and to waste so much of your salary $$$ on an non essential position is madness. Who made the decision and who ok'ed it. Obviously Sheens and Humphreys.

d/ it seems the new incoming coach will have most of the decisions fo rhsi 2013 playing roster already made for him by Sheens and Humphreys, unless the coaching successor has aleady been deicded and is being consulted behind closed doors.

e/ finally after the grand final, Miller's stocks must have risen and Anasta must go to utility bench role or backrow.

As an aside with the good showing WT put in in both lower grades I think if WT are cash strapped, Fletcher could be in a good position for the opening, with Sheens kicked upstairs to coaching director, (I dont see Sheens getting the Warriors job now)

MF Salary Cap is the same old excuse to change the roster would not put much weight to that they simply don't rate the player or the clubs valuation does not marry up with what the player wants.

Miller just needs time and may be ready to rock next year with a few KGs on the frame as he cant tackle in FG if past history is repeated.

Anasta is our best option at halfback, we need an experienced, dominant figure leading the team around and let benji do his thing!
