Could be a couple of reasons, they both joined the comp in 1988 hence Newcastle is correct in that they have played 25 seasons. Perhaps the broncos don't count the year they scummed off to superleague as a year in the comp? Thats reason 1
Reason 2 is much more simple QLDERPS are stupid and can't count?

I believe a poll would have option 2 a mile in front.

Newcastle celebrated 25 seasons.. brisbane are celebrating a 25th birthday of sorts...
i was born in 1985, in 1986 i was 1, in 2010 i was 25yo...
brisbane were 'born' in 1988 in 1989 they were 1, hence in 2013 brisbane are 25 years old...
i know simple things like this are a struggle for those south of the border...
but both newcastle and brisbane were correct depending on how they labeled things...
