Premier League - Man Utd sign world record £750m kit deal with Adidas

Manchester United have agreed a kit deal with Adidas worth £750 million over 10 years, starting from 2015-16.

Nike recently announced they would be ending their 13-year association with English football's most famous club and their deal, worth £23.5m a season, comes to a conclusion at the end of the coming campaign.

A Nike statement said: "The terms that were on offer for a renewed contract did not represent good value for Nike's shareholders".

Warrior and Puma had also held talks with United about producing the club's kit but it is Nike's great rivals Adidas who have secured the prestigious deal.

Real Madrid's £31m-a-year deal with Adidas was previously the record for a club side while Nike have a £40m-a-year deal with the French Football Federation.
