How many time did you see Bobby Charlton play in defence?
It is my opinion there have been better defenders than him since, disagree if you like.
Charlton was just better than Terry at everything on the football pitch though.

On terry vs Gerrard.

Terry did pioneer the slipping over to blow his teams chances of winning silverware. In fact he directly cost his team in the biggest game of his career so he gets credit for that.

After that you have to compare beating up a DJ for not playing Phil Collins and claiming it was self defernce to being a racist, and all round unpleasant chav tastic person.

I can't decide.
Terrys family being typical cockney scummers should sway me, but Gerrard is a scouser.
It is a tough one.

You see Nick. Confused and angry... ;-)

Wouldn't have been talking about Jack Charlton would he? Since we are talking about Central defenders.

Or Bobby Moore, who knows.

Funny he decided I talked shit after saying Terry is the best English defender since England's leading goal scorer.

All this happened in a time before Jose managed Chelsea though so I'll let it go now as it is understandable he would not get it right.. :D

Back onto today's football, big win for Sunderland.
The way it is going Newcastle are going down with QPR and Burnley.

I meant Bobby Moore. Never seen him play other than on video. But those that have describe him as the most gifted defender of his time. Personally I have watched more film of Ron Harris over the years.

Haha I should have jumped on the United bandwagon like yourself.

John Hollins was Chelsea manager (on his second spell) when I attended my first game.

How good are Leicester going. A few months a go they were easily the worst team in the league, a league quality performances (and thats being nice to them).

What are they up to, one loss in their last 7?

Amazing.

Newcastle are just horrible at the moment. If there were more games left I'd be very worried if I was a fan.

It will be a deserved title for Chelsea tonight.

Held their nerve (mostly) whilst the challenging teams have self destructed around them.

After a decent month, you jumped on their bandwagon (for next year) way too fast.

Did Carrick play? If not, then no surprise. They never seem to do even half as well without him. I didn't watch the match, but what happened? Have teams figured out the pump it to Fellaini tactic? They'll probably make the top 4, but they're doing the absolute best to make sure we do instead. Shame that we're not much better and lost to f***ing Hull and drew to WBA.

Scousers are your neighbours, 'love thy neighbour', therefore Gerrard should win. And yes, you're right about Chelsea fans.

Lol United. It would be awesome if Mourinho gives 3 points to Liverpool just to troll LVG. If (big if) Liverpool beat Chelsea I think they will be top 4. If only they weren't so useless the last few weeks.

F**ken impossible to pull away from the drop zone lol.

Newcastle for the drop?

Hope so. They deserve it. Their own is a f**kwit who has 50,000 loyal fans every week and cannot be bothered spending any money. Does not even pretend that it is about the football. He wants profits. And then the fans, chasing Pardew out of town as if it was his fault. Newcastle are much worse without him and Crystal Palace much better with him. He has 52 points this season combined. That would be 8th.

And on the promotion playoffs. I really would love it if Brentford go up. They haven't been in the top league since 1947, and most of the time since they've been 3rd division, with a stint in 4th in 2008. And like Bournemouth, they also have a 12k stadium. Nice to have two little boutique grounds in the biggest league.

This season was their first year up into the 2nd division since the early 90s. And only their 2nd year since the 50s. Would be an amazing story for them to go up.

They've always been my second team, my grandparents lived around the corner from Griffin Park. Only ground in football with a pub on every corner of the ground.

Would also provide a proper derby for us again.

I'd like to see Middlesbrough promoted. Would be nice to see.

As for relegation I'm sure QPR and Burnley are done for, with it now being down to Villa, Sunderland, Hull & Newcastle for the 3rd spot. Based on current form you'd have to think Newcastle because they are only 'safe' with a 2 point gap with 9 to play for. The way they're playing I can't see them getting any more points, it's just a question of if Leicester, Hull & Sunderland can get the 2 points needed to surpass them.

I never thought I would ever see Bournemouth and Brentford in the positions they're in lol. My aunty's brother 5 years ago was embarrassed to admit to me he was a Brentford fan lol how times have changed.

Yeah, comparing the best central defender of his generation and probably the best since Bobby Charlton to another over inflated scouser is pretty redundant.

I meant Bobby Moore. Never seen him play other than on video. But those that have describe him as the most gifted defender of his time. Personally I have watched more film of Ron Harris over the years.

Hahaha. Whoops. :p
