What was the point of it in June? You only had one former Atleti player in your squad then. Now you have four.

But I know you have a humour deficit so I'll excuse your lack of appreciation for comedic timing.

Courtois is, and was, a Chelsea player Sam

Who are you suggesting is the fourth? The striker who left Atletico seven years ago to join LOLiverpool?

I'm struggling to see how a club bringing in the three best players from the Spanish Champions is a bad thing.

Liverpool is a massive club when it suits, and a small club when it doesn't.

I walk into Rebel at Bondi and I see 6 big racks of Liverpool merchandise, 1 of Chelsea, 1 small one of Utd, zero of Arsenal. Same thing at Eastgardens. We're still big alright :D

But Liverpool are the biggest cloob in the wheeerld, la

If it was all about money you could have bought it twenty years ago...

Except 20 years ago it was hardly all about money  Blame Chelsea for introducing that to the EPL

Agree big time, Chelsea have strengthened with the Atleti players comingin. Not to mention essentially getting Costa and Felipe Luis for a couple of million, due to sideshow bob's $$$. Even if you don't like Chelsea, you gotta agree its great work from them so far this window.

Are you seriously suggesting that Chelsea were the first club to spend a lot of money on players?

Really?

 In the EPL, to the scale that you did, yes. Real Madrid may have done it before Chelsea with Galacticos (in another league), but Real Madrid were already a massive club. Liverpool, Utd and Arsenal initially achieved success through gradual development. Chelsea were just luckily adopted by a rich sugar daddy, and without him you'd probably still be mid-table somewhere. I know that smug Chelsea fans like you and Haffa love to deny it but the truth hurts.

You wouldn't know about most of this though because you probably were a Leeds fan...

It's the same reason why Utd just loathe City even more now, because they're suddenly successful off the back of some endless supply of oil money they luckily fell into.

Loathe? Hardly.

Blackburn, Newcastle, Chelsea and now City. Sugar daddy clubs come and go.

Recently though we have a the added bonus of city fans becoming massive hypocrite for comedy effect.

The Chelsea situation was lucky for Leeds fans, allowed them to jump from one bandwagon to the next easily.

There's sugar daddy, and then there's Chelsea level sugar daddy (and later City). And please, you don't loathe them? 'U-N-I-T-E-D (...) Why don't City f**k off home'?

So if Real Madrid could spend because of their size, surely LOLiverpool could have too?

Oh dear

Don't tell me you're now reduced to using mong's imagination as a source...

It's always required money to be successful. You think Liverpool's dominance through the 70s and 80s had nothing whatsoever to with them having significantly more resources than most other clubs?
