Id swap Mata for Cazorla any day of the week, United will come good, i still think they will win the title.

But for this formation to work they need one of Vidal, Pogba, or William Carv, Darren Fletch isn't what he once was.

Lol major meltdown going on over at redcafe haha gotta stay away I'm getting into arguments with people cause I don't want LVG sacked haha

Redcafe is a joke. Full of people who think they are somehow superior but are actually the worse kind of united supporter out there.

Last year they had a thread wanting united to lose, want youngsters to fail so they can fill the team with mercs and are so clueless about tactics they will have million post arguments over formations like it is as game of football manager.

Basically ignore them. :D

Classic BM. Why do you even care?

He thinks he is a better manager than lvg. Enough said.

Last year we beat Swansea and it all went wrong. We have not started yet, and we need a new midfielder!!!

Get that, and we are good to go.

We need more than one player. We have 3 established centre backs - one decent (Jones, contrary to Hoppity's ignorant opinion) and two average (Smalling and Evans), plus a bunch of kids. Not the recipe for a successful back 3, at least not any time soon. Wing is another problem area. Shaw, Januzaj, and Valencia are decent. Young and Nani are shit. Lingard I haven't seen enough of. Van Gaal seems the type to play a long game though. The United fans slitting their wrists after one game can go follow City.

At the moment we don't play wingers, but if we were going to Januzaj is our only good one. Young is not a good winger, but to give him credit he is doing alright as a wing back. The prob vs Swansea was he was asked to play fullback, which he clearly isn't.

Lingard is a very good forward, but he plays as an attacking winger/number 10/forward. Not sure why he was a wing back. James as left back and Young on the right would be better.

The first choice back 3 are all very good, but are injury prone. The kids are very capable. We do need another body back there though.

A new mid is a must, it is so slow.
A winger would be nice if we were to go back to 443 but not as urgent if we play 343.
Mata needs to wake up, and Herrera will need a few weeks to learn what the prem is all about. Hopefully he will justify the price tag.

At home and man advantage for a large part of the game, and what does big Sam do to take advantage?

Nothing..

Losing in stoppage time was not undeserved after that.

A very entertaining opening day

Looks like Man United still have some work to do. Arsenal and Spurs had to work harder than expected. Palace, Leicester, Villa and Sunderland were better than expected. West Ham are still shit, as expected

Southampton A v Southampton B tonight should also be interesting

Lol that just showed stevie going for a slip haha. As much as I don't like the merkin I feel like that's what a lot of people are gonna remember him for and he definatly deserves to be remembered for his ability and loyalty to Liverpool and not and unlucky slip. Still funny to watch though.
