I go through my phases of disliking Chelsea, but I dislike them a lot less than I used to years ago. Didn't give 2 f***s about them last season until the Anfield game. I wish I could watch last night, but I fell asleep.

It sounds like one of those typical high scoring games when both teams forget how to defend, and then in the end, it comes down to the team that has more firepower.

Chelsea's spending has gotten a little less farcical recently so they're more tolerable. They'll probably win the league this year. Better than City winning it.

Still a small club though.

Thought they would've come out firing after a tough first couple of weeks of the season and grab their first victory.

Still, credit to Man U for holding Burnley to a draw

Did BM just own himself again? I believe he did.

Last 10 years for LVG:

2004-05: no club
2005-06: AZ - 2nd in Eredivisie
2006-07: AZ - 3rd
2007-08: AZ - 11th (talked out of quitting by his players)
2008-09: AZ - won Eredivisie (only their second ever win)
2009-10: Bayern - won Bundesliga, German Cup, reached Champions League Final
2010-11: Bayern - 3rd (sacked a month before the end of the season)
2011-12: no club
2012-13: no club; appointed Netherlands coach
2013-14: no club; Netherlands 3rd at World Cup

I would count that as 4 good club seasons, 2 poor seasons, and 4 seasons where he didn't coach. Plus a 3rd place finish at the World Cup. Don't quit your day job to become a football pundit BM.

There aren't many clubs I dislike, Chelsea aren't one of them.

Annoying Chelsea fans, however, is a lot of fun :lol:

What that record with AZ and the Netherlands proves is he's good at getting ordinary teams to overachieve.

So maybe he will go ok with Man U.

Frustrating draw for us made a little better by Spurs having their pants pulled down at home.

One season worth writing home about. Who cares about his time with AZ. The eredivisie is so far off the pace it's not worth talking about.

He dicked around in a substandard league. Then he had one decent year with Bayern. (winning the Bundesliga with Bayern is barely par. But combined with a CL final puts it a little infront of par). Then he got sacked less then a year later.

He did ok with the Dutch but again international football isn't the same as the week in and week out grind of the premier league.

Yeah, maybe in 12 months. I just felt he needed a bit more time down here with another good season to go to England...
