My initial reaction was that I didnt like it as the Brown stripes looked wrong - But in light of the fact they're actually a grey I'm a fan - Still not sold on the logo but the Jersey looks good

End of season, 2013 jerseys at Rebel for $69.99.

Compared to $160, bargain.

And I thought they were brown stripes too. Deadset looks it on the GWS site.

With the 2014 jersey, it's a relief on 2 fronts:

- there is no gold, which is what was speculated a few months ago, and teal is being retained. It remains to be seen with respect to future seasons, but the retention of the teal is a positive in terms of developing a more long term identity, because it seems that it has changed every few years since the 90s.

- it is not a completely new design, and to me can still bear a resemblance to the 2008 jersey, even though there has been some tinkering. It goes back to the first point in developing an identity by keeping the same jersey, like Souths and the Dragons. By all means, change the alternative strip every few years, but as long as it is a predominantly black jersey with the teal trimming, then happy days!

Condensed version - I like it!

I know it's not very high res but I've found a picture of the panthers training singlet for 2014. Looks like reports of gold trimming and the big panther motif on the front were spot on. I like it looks much better then 2013 training gear.

Considering the bed the Panthers have made for themselves by lumbering from design to design, this is not too bad. I wouldn't call it iconic but it certainly holds a bit of history and is unique enough. I hope no other team decides to go plain black any time soon.
