Seems like all other sports are actually dropping merch prices next year

Most a league , afl , cricket shirts are sub $100 now

And Nrl still tries for the $189 mark

I mean really ???

No way they cost more than $20 to make in china

A League, AFL and cricket shirts have been around those prices for awhile.

And NRL jerseys are still around the $160 mark. The $180 is in New Zealand.

Its why I wait until the end of the season to buy a jersey.

THey really need to drop the price of the infant jerseys. I can't afford to pay or justify $99.95 for a jersey for my 1 year old when he will outgrow it in no time. He had his first jersey last year when the end of year clearances were on, but the clearance price is what the regular price should be IMO.

A full grown adult who can wear the jersey until it's destroyed or whatever, is getting his moneys worth. But those baby jerseys have about 20% of the fabric and are more then half the price. A baby will outgrow it in no time and it's then only good for grabbing autographs and trying to frame it or collect it.

I think there would be far better jersey sales int his market if they were around the $49.95 mark and the added sales would probably be more then enough to make up for any money lost on charging twice that and moving less volume.

If it was all down to market forces. Ie charge what the public will bear

WSW shirts should be $350 (and the lunatics would still buy them )
Chilling wood $250 ( would still sell 30000 a year )

I think unfortunately it comes down a shitty deal for Nrl fans with no real thought put into pricing

That is my main gripe with jersey prices.

No way in hell will I buy my kids a replica jersey until they stopped growing a bit.

Until then, it's the $50 sponsor less jerseys from Best n Less

The ones at best and less can be picked up for really cheap when they have sales. My kids first jersey was one of those, but before he had even worn it the official jersey was on clearance in time for christmas so his godfather bought him one for christmas. He was only 20 days old last christmas and it was a size 0. But that worked out pretty good as when the NRL season kicked off this year it was ready to be worn and being a bit loose on him it lasted the season. Then at a members event we had it signed by all the players and will be framing it for him. It no longer fits, but is a good keepsake from his first christmas IMO.

The only good thing for us is that he will have a brother soon that can help the clothes have a longer lifespan where they are actually worn. But it's still hard to justify those prices for such a tiny jersey. Unless they start offering the trade in deal on the smaller jerseysl. If I could buy him one now at $110 and trade it in when he needs a new one to get it for $50 I would happily do it. If anything the trade-in deal currently available would make more sense on kids and infants jerseys.

I read that they showed the jersey with the PNGRL logo but next week the team will be named.

I wouldn't be surprised if PNGRL is a sponsor and/or their logo appears somewhere on the jersey

Scored a size 4, 5, 6 and 8 kids cotton jersey with 08 on the back for $10 at a Best n Less clearance sale. Not only is it long sleeve, warm...it has a proper collar.

As my two boys grow, we pass it down.

Kids jersey prices are one of my biggest bug bears.
