2014 Jerseys, Logos & Sponsorship Thread

Is that NSW jersey colour that way because of the camera used...or are we now the NSW aquas?

don't know if its due to nostalgia, but I like that Knights jersey

My shopping expedition today revealed 3 things to me:

1) Newcastle have replaced one of the best looking away jerseys in the competition with a rehashed 2003 away jersey (resembling the old Super League designs). At first I thought it might just be a heritage jersey, but on the tag it said it is the away jersey.

2) NSW 2014 jersey has had no improvement and the blue keeps getting worse

3) Penrith will have gold in their training gear

I really am sick of NSW (and other NRL clubs) selling out nearly half of the jersey just to please sponsors. 2013 and 2104 blues jersey are terrible. We need to ditch the VB logo for something at least a bit smaller of find a sponsor that will integrate better into the jersey. Eventhough i hate the QLD origin side at least they've got their act together next year and have come up with a simple well integrated jersey. Ive done a very quick mock up on what a plain simple NSW jersey could look like even with the dreadful VB sponsor. Wishful thinking i guess.

i agree and i like your mock up. the waratahs have hade a much nicer shade of blue over the years and for some reason nswrl just cant get it right!

Its annoying when "Victoria" Bitter is sponsoring NSW.

I dont think Toohey's have sponsored NSW for ages.

I remember one series in the 90s, they would say "NSW Tooheys New Blues vs Queensland XXXX Bitter Maroons"

nope - it started in 2002. In 2001 we had rams home and white/red/blue vertical stripe away.

Nah mate pretty sure this was our away jersey back in 01 if my memory serves me correctly.

Maybe because VB's offer beat the offers from "tooheys or something"?

It's all about money, if I had enough money the Blues could run out in jerseys with "BunniesMan" on them.

Nah mate pretty sure this was our away jersey back in 01 if my memory serves me correctly.

I never really liked this one, but it does have the potential to be great and if it was redone today, i think they could do it well.
