Hmm, things the Bulls picked up a second player in this trade according to ESPN. It says in part -

The deal also will send Anthony Randolph to Chicago and a future second-round pick to Denver.

One person has postulated that Anthony Randolph's contract does not expire until the end of the 2014-15 season. If this is correct, they have in fact not cleared any salary cap space, it has contracted.

If they want to bring in Melo or Lebron... Surely the amnesty on Boozer will be enough.
