Evans is injury prone and Santi is a smidgen small for a backrower. Those are the major concerns I have for each of them but beyond that they are excellent signings and the club can potentially extract great value from them.

6ft 95kgs, yes he needs to put on a few kgs but he is big enough if good enough. Shoujd have no problems hitting 100 kg with his height just needs time

Watched Corey Norman in his last QLD cup match for Wynnam-Manly (sp). The Regular 5/8 was injured, so he played 6 in the 1 jumper.

Firstly, Ipswich had 70% possession all match, so it was not a good game to gauge potential. On the upside:-

  • he's a talker and was shouting at his forwards all game
  • he has a long left foot which found the corners more than players
  • he has very good footwork in traffic
  • throws a good cut out pass
  • is not shy in D
  • scored a good solo try, by talking the D on from 15m out and used footwork to get over
The QLD commentators were hard on him and wanted him to touch the ball a few times a set, however they were mostly coming out of their their own end and was hard for anyone to look good when his team was getting pumped.

Good to hear. Thanks for sharing.

.

Doesn't that make it hard for him to run?

wynnum's regular 5/8 didnt play that game, i think corey had been playing fullback but switched once the regular pulled out. he definitely had some glimpses of skill and his defence is solid. I think the commentators ragged on him cause it just seemed he was trying to fit in with the game plan instead of taking the game by the scruff of the neck, which is also difficult when combinations haven't been developed. also ipswich turned in a truely dominant performance. I hope everyone gives norman time as i think he looks the goods and the way he's been treated will surely give him the attitude to want to suceed with us.
