be a well deserved upgrade for sure, can't see him being a one season wonder at all. The kid has this swagger about him that shows plenty of self belief.

Just read Leicster City could be in some trouble regarding FFP. Apparently what has happened is LCFC sold some regional marketing rights to a 3rd party in 13/14 to the tune of £11m, enough to reduce their losses to an acceptable amount under FFP. The very next season the right were sold to King Power, a company owned by LCFC's Thai owner.

The 3rd party company is owned by the son of the chairman of the FA, who bought and the sold the rights has refused to answer any questions regarding the transaction. Aoparently the reason it has raised eyebrows is due to the ££ involved. £11m is a lot for a championship sides marketing rights, coupled with the fact the 3rd party who brought them won't answer a single question regarding the transaction. It's being seen as a dodgy way to get around FFP and could result in the very least a ban from European competition for LCFC.

Not what LCFC would want to see given what they have I achieved and what they have in front of them next season. A few journos in England will be making some noises regarding this story going forward.

That issue with Liecester has been around for a bit but from what I read they wont be hit with any penalties for this season, it may just be a transfer ban which means they can be raided but they cant replace their player, then again it was British media so who knows.

I'd be happy if they just got a 7 point deduction.

So the PFA player and young player of the year awards short lists have been announced

PFA player of the year

Mahrez, Kante, Vardy, Kane, Ozil and Payet

PFA young player of the year
Alli, Barkely, Coutinho, Butland, Kane and Lukaku

If I was handing out the awards Kante and Alli be my choice.

Kante has been absolutely brilliant this season and IMO their most important player. Vardy and Mahrez have been brilliant as well but without Kante behind them I don't think they'd be able to be as influential.

Alli for Spurs has been fantastic as well. His goal against Palace was absolutely Bergkamp-esque. Gerard commented that he loves the attitude of Alli as he plays like he truly belongs already. 5m is an absolute steal for him. Very influential in the a side challenging for the title at 19-20.

Payet

End of story

I could be accused of being a little biased though :)

Surely Kane will win young player of the year? Basing it purely on the fact he is the only one in the player of the year category too.

Ali should win it but.

Well that was captivating. 2-2 draw to go 8 clear with 12 points remaining. If Spurs slip to Stoke (either a draw or loss) then that's 7/8 behind with 12 points in the tank. You'd think Leicester would defeat Swansea and go 10/11 clear with those 12 left. Very crucial game in the destination of the league on a cold, rainy night in Stoke.

Leicester dropped points and Vardy red carded makes it interesting for us. We actually get to see Leicester without Vardy now so we'll see just how important he is to them.

And more importantly Arsenal are right where they love to be in 4th.

It's getting tight at the top and for 4th place, Stoke at home is a tricky game for Spurs as well.

4-0 derby win over the bitters for LFC. 41 shots at goal to 3 pretty much shows how the game went. Absolute mauling and I couldn't be happier.

Martinez will be gone you'd think. Heavy rumours that Moyesy wants to return there (if he fails to land the vacant Celtic job).

Roberto Martinez - the Spanish Brendan Rodgers, except with just a bit less wankyness, and a trophy to his name.

That derby was just ridiculous. We didn't even reach top gear.

Funes Mori was a complete f**king clown, disgraceful tackle and then grabs the club badge when he's walking off. Now Origi is gone for the season.

Mahrez takes out the PFA player of the year award while Dele Alli wins the PFA young player of the year award. Hard to argue with either even tho I had Kante winning the PFA player of the year. Both Mahrez and Alli have been brilliant for their respective sides this season.
