well rusty wasn't there. supposedly he was busy building something

Does doesn't he, and gets hammered for artistic license!

Well...

Its well known today the story is a rip off of one told 500 or so years earlier, plus Noah himself is fictitious, entirely made up. But for the longest time people believed that drunk was capable of building such a vesse. A vessel mind you that would have sank anyway, plus it had one window for all that animal feces to be shoveled out of daily. Like 10 tonnes a day.

Gods not an architect... I mean just look at the earth. Most of the fresh water locked away. Lol

ANZ really is just a crowd killer. At some stage the NRL is going to have to pay the clubs to unsuckle from the ANZ teat and get them a 40k stadium at Parramatta built (Souths back to SFS). Short term pain for long term gain.

- Souths/Easts/St G/Cronulla out of a revamped SFS
- Wests/Penrith/Bulldogs/Parramatta out of new Parra stadium
- Smaller drawing games to historic home grounds
- Manly shared between Central Coast and Brookvale

Simples. Good geographic spread, good public transport access to both, reasonably sized, sheltered stadiums with entertainment options outside.

Souths have made it clear we have no interest in moving to the SFS for the foreseeable future. Half our members are in Western Sydney.

Whats the best guess at this stage? WOuld like to think 40k easily at the SFS

Yeah 36k pax right now, take 3,000 off for stadium member/ no shows.

Then plus 3,000 ticket sales today, plus walk ups.

Part of me thinks that it will be a little less than the Roosters crowd because of no school holidays and 8pm kick off - families whom have got their kids up for dawn service (a LOT) will not want stroppy kids destroying their Sunday.

I live in Paddington (800m from Suncorp for those who don't know) and there are people EVERYWHERE today, if we had the day game it would have easily gotten 40k.

35,000 - 37,500. I would think.

I don't think the 8pm thing is that big of a deal. Being a FOX game it will probably actually start at that time, which is pretty close to the time Friday games start.

Roosters dragons will not crack 40,000. Still tickets available in all categories and the roosters have been flogging tickets on Twitter constantly.

Particularly telling is the dragons fans section is still not sold out even after 5 wins on the trot.

Whatever idiot thought it a great idea to jack up the prices is going to be embarrassed this afternoon

There are seats in bays 8, 9 and 41.

Upper east has four sections to sell. Don't people in Sydney show up without tickets though? Where as in Brisbane there are barely any rock ups.

I think just over 40,000.

Weather looks good so far. There maybe some change later in the day. But I dont think that should have an effect on the crowd. Only game in Sydney today should be a big one.

No surprise that Roosters ain't selling out Allinaz yet the Sydney Derby can. Explain that 'heartland'. It's pathetic that Sydney Derby is getting bigger crowds than Dragon/Roosters and Rooster/Souths 100+ year rivalry just like that.

This is a fairly exhausted argument... Just enjoy the crowd that will be large.

This year it seems like anything that is over 35,000 is damn good. Clearly people across all the cities are finding better ways to watch the games.

Don't underestimate it. I took my kids to the dawn service this morning (for the first time) and they are already shattered from the early morning after a school week. No way are they going tonight. One of the VOR family's two member tickets will be laying fallow tonight.

Take the neighbours! Ha

Another bit of info - Maroon is selling quicker than white - shows that when people leave the kids at home they get the better seats.

Less families for sure.

Very ordinary crowd again at Hunter. But as Chicken Hunter mentioned last week, 15-17k is normal for us now unfortunately.
