Crowds so far this weekend

Dogs v Tigers 18,521
Warriors v Titans 15,102
Knights v Cowboys 15,518
Roosters v Dragons 35,110
Storm v Sea Eagles 13,948
Broncos v Eels 34,298

Total 132,597

Last seasons Anzac Day round drew 171,608 fans. To equal that total we would need 39,011 fans to attend todays games. Some how I don't expect that to happen.

Thanks buddy, a pleasure.

Do you have any sales figures for origin?

Just checked out game 1 at anz and its $72 for bronze seating, not sure if they provide oxygen tanks and binoculars for the highest seats

But seriously at that price in those seats, no thank you.

Also noticed that again suncorp is not sold out yet, HQ have really priced a lot of people out of attending and obviously others hold off umtil the inevitbale last minute desperate move to slash prices to get a near sellout at either of the grounds

I don't have any actual figures no, but I have been tracking how its going, not really ANZ though - but I did see a few articles about how ANZ in particular was struggling.

Game 1, at ANZ stadium on May 27, has sold just over 10,000 tickets, with the new pricing obviously hindering fans from attending the game.

Suncorp isn't going too poorly, essentially the entire top tier has sold apart from a couple of blatchy blues bays. Middle tier is relatively sold too, again, with the exception of the "blue zone" - NSW fans have been given 3,000 seats to add to the atmosphere.

I would like to see the amount of Maroon Members we have had sign on, I think it would be at lest 8,000.

Category one and two there are a few thousand left - in 604, 638 and 639. Maybe a handful in 640.

Category two there are seats down in the lower bowl - I would assume about 2,000 dispersed throughout 313, 312, 330 - more will come on sale that have not been sold as Maroon Memberships.

In Melbourne the Maroon Crusade has sold like hot cakes and extra bays had been allocated in the upper stand. A mate that works at the MCG told me that for every 1 NSW purchasing address there have been 8 in Queensland.

I have noticed a fair bit of conversation on the Suncorp Stadium/ Queensland facebook page about people ditching the Suncorp Origin for a trip to Melbourne. Cannot blame them.

Any word on how the test matches are looking for next week? Can we expect maybe 40k at Suncorp and 15k at the Gold Coast?

probably will hit around 150-155k

not that bad given the weather. still need to to better though. not sure what can be done besides the obvious changes to TV rights and schedules.

Been every year since 2007 & the only reason I went last year was because I was able to score some free tickets from a mate. Have no intention whatsoever to attend anymore games from here on in at those prices.

Last year was ridiculous, this year the NRL is just a laugh

if people are willing to pay it then it's not ridiculous it's just where the market is at. supply and demand.

if they dont sell out, or close to it (80+ at ANZ 48+ suncorp) then theyll learn and drop prices slightly for next year by say 10-15%

Doesn't look like a bad crowd at Penrith. It's a pitty most games this year have been affected by rain I mean last night at Parramatta the Aleague got 8k and GWS got 8k I heard. Today should get more than 10k by the looks of it

Well, the stadium does still fill up at these prices so obviously there are enough people willing to pay at this price....

If youre looking to get in on cheap tickets, GA is still pretty good. The problem is, with this artificially low price, theres always a mad rush, so youre lucky to get one.

I just fnd it ridiculous that people feel entitled to cheap tickets because they took advantage of the NRLs unpopularity as it was recovering from the SuperLeague war.

It just shows how out of date these suburban grounds are. Roofs would have solved quite a few of these problems.

Remember last year when the dudded all those that did get in early and pay through the nose by inventing new cheaper category once tickets sales stalled?

I'm amazed they haven't learned their lesson.
