Any word on how the test matches are looking for next week? Can we expect maybe 40k at Suncorp and 15k at the Gold Coast?

Rain in Brisbane for Thursday and Friday - peobably 30-35k.

They were handing out $30 ticket deal fliers last night on the way into Suncorp. A few people around me didn't even know the game was on. At least that was some in your face promotion.

Remember last year when the dudded all those that did get in early and pay through the nose by inventing new cheaper category once tickets sales stalled?

I'm amazed they haven't learned their lesson.

so whats wrong with doing that again this year? they sold something like 80 or 90% of the tickets at full price and discounted the last little portion to make sure it sold out.

its called price discrimination, means they maximise revenue. consumers are perfectly entitled to wait if that suits them.

Can't complain about affordability!

• Anzac Test – tickets from $30 with family tickets from $80
• Pacific Test Double Header – Tickets from $15
• ANZAC Test and Pacific Double Header pass – six games for $40
• Tickets for the 2015 AAMI Country v City match, which will be held in Wagga Wagga, will be available from $10 for adults and $25 for families.

Mr Pullen said the NRL had also linked with Dreamworld to provide a pass to both days of Test football – plus a trip to Dreamworld for $60 (children) and $80 (adults).

Black line is where there will be people sitting at this stage, anywhere from 10 - 90% full.

I can understand taking games to regional areas and clubs getting coin to do it, but it makes the game look amatuer, they are perfect for trial games.

Never going to improve crowd avg with games played in Albury, Bathurst & cairns.

Why do we as fans stress about crowd size.

The NRL and clubs don't really give a sht at all about crowds.

What makes you think the NRL doesn't care about the size of crowds? If they didn't why would they count fans going through the gate and release attendance figures. Also why would they be reducing prices especially for families.

Crowd figures are a good sign on the strength or otherwise of the game.

If the nrl didnt care about crowds they wouldnt set targets (theyre failing to meet) or manipulate figures to make them look better (because theyre failing to meet targets).
