just goes to show though, two biggest clubs in sydney can only get 16k at an mediocre 20k stadium

while dogs tigers get 4,000 more at a legit stadium. too bad that stadium is 80k and oval.

point is, suburban grounds either need massive revamps or need to be replaced by modern rectangular stadiums

Are the Tigers supporters boycotting ANZ? It was embarrassing, they were outnumbered easily! The middle sections were empty, do they have any members? Level 4 and the corners/behind posts were all Dogs!

That year Norths played "home" matches all over the place like Lang Park, Parramatta Stadium and Stadium Australia (now Telstra Stadium).

it was telstra stadium between 2002-2007. after that it was and still is anz stadium.

some people get anz stadium and allianz stadium mixed up too. allianz stadium is the sydney football stadium

Next week I think it's all on for massive crowds. Gf replay with a great win to dogs tonight, last 2 years were 50k,40k, should be looking at 50k plus for Good Friday. And maybe 45k for Easter Monday after eels win tonight!

Wasnt the Eels/Tigers game 50k last year? Logic suggests that would be the higher drawing game again? Hope both crowds are 5k higher!!

For souths v bulldogs. Cat 1 $60, cat 2 $40 and GA $25. Gonna be bog gaps either side of halfway line. parra v tigers is $40 and $20 respectively much more sensibly priced.

If either of these games fails to draw it will show hq what mood the fans are in right now. Mind you between them those 4 teams put on good games last night

You would think the Knights would be 23k+ today. Few thousand freebies given out, undefeated, against a good team, good weather. Only thing is it is against a team who doesn't have many fans who travel.

On Saturday arvo we usually struggle to pull good crowds. Sunday is usually good because people don't have as many other commitments.

One game is on Friday which is typically a low drawing night for crowds.

Eels vs WT is a public holiday Monday, with both teams traveling well i expect this game to draw more than the Dogs vs Souths game.

The truth is many WT fans boycott Bulldogs night games.

It harks back to an incident of a few years back with the idiot element of the Dogs fan base carrying on, fights, stomping on cars in P1.

The Dogs have done an excellent job in removing that element but sadly the stigma remains and many families who went that night vowed never to do it again

Not as many in Newcastle here as I thought/ticketing website would have indicated. Still half an hour til kick-off, but would want a sudden influx to get a 20,000+ crowd.

Every sport had their first games today, not the best of timing.
