Yeah, the weather is looking ominous for Sydney tomorrow. Will definitely have a big impact on the potential walk-ups for the Bulldogs/Souffs match

unfortunate really, i still hope for 40k but 50k is out of the question now imo.

Interesting if i try to but 5x cat 2 tickets it puts me in bay 626. Did not realise the upper levels were on sale

Not really sold on the "oh god why didn't we have a Thursday game" crap.

AFL isn't playing tonight and they're giving us a free hit - no credit where it's due there? The scheduling isn't perfect, and could be better but I don't believe a Thursday night game would've been all that good. Last time the NRL tried it in 2013, only 11k turned up to Gosford for Manly v Tigers, a game that previously drew a ground record crowd of 20059 at the venue. Twice.

It still annoys me that Storm vs Warriors was moved away from ANZAC Day, just so the Warriors could play at home that round in order to allow the NRL to have 5 back-to-back matches on ANZAC Day. Complete overkill if you ask me. The fixture got a lot of support from the NRL community, should've never been changed, and the replacement fixture - Storm vs Sea Eagles - won't get much over 20k at most. Once again, poor scheduling from the NRL to allow this, but this is something that has become all to common for league fans to put with during the past.

My understanding this alteration is a one off and Storm-NZ returns to AAMI next season on Anzac Day. Easter Monday is still a good get IMO.

But Is Gosford the right venue for a game on a Thursday night when the freeway is packed with people going away for the weekend? We should have another game at anz celebrating an Easter show festival of football. I'm sure a game like dragons vs Panthers or something similar. It would draw a lot better than it would normally, though it would make a better Sunday afternoon match. Maybe the gold Coast can host a Thursday night game each year. Or even the Knights. Or alternate between the two teams.

The trouble is, once they reach the point where they get refused service, you've got a problem already. It's not a simple matter to refuse to serve someone who is drunk. And their mates can get the gear for them anyway.

RSA officials? It is police who have to sort it out. Police are a public resource, and if you are staging an event where they are required in numbers they are not free, which sounds like a good reason to limit alcohol content to 3.5%.

I'm a bit of a drinker, but I prefer 6% home brew at 70 cents a longneck to half as much at half the strength for 10 times the price, so I don't drink at the footy.

But you still go to the football. Just because you cant get full strength beer should not stop people from going to a game.

On Easter Monday, a family of four can attend the Eels versus Tigers clash at ANZ Stadium for as little as $40. Additional pre-purchased tickets start at $20 for adults, $15 for concession and $10 a Junior.

At Pepper Stadium for the Panthers-Cowboys clash, any child under 12 accompanying an adult to the match will receive free entry to general admission, while $15 adult tickets are available if they are purchased before midnight on Sunday, 5 April.

The Easter Monday savings will continue with the Storm offering a discounted Easter/ANZAC Day bundle. The Storm's clash with the Warriors at 5pm on Easter Monday will be Ryan Hoffman's 250th game. The back-rower played 245 of those matches against the team he will be facing on Monday.

An inclusive transport deal applies to ANZ Stadium fixtures for Club Members and fans that pre-purchase tickets. It will provide frequent and direct public transport services to Sydney Olympic Park on trains, buses, ferries and light rail, from all parts of Sydney.

To purchase tickets to all NRL Easter fixtures please visit www.nrl.com/tickets

Heavy looking rain moving into the pernith area now from the mountains. if it continues as it is, will hit homebush in the hour before kickoff no doubt destroying any sort of walk up. I will estimate 25-30k at this stage

I'm on Level 4 East with the Rabbitohs members. Level 4 West is full of Dogs supporters. Also a few hundred on Level 6.

I'd say we'll have around 25k here at the moment.

Theres a little bit of light showers on the radar that is fizzling out. Weather isnt an excuse tonight for sydney.

Of course the weather is a fair excuse, its been crappy, overcast and wet all day, means people more likely to stay home. Also means less people go t the show which means less walk up.

Still I think they will have a good 30k plus it might not look that full yet but with the show crowd it is always a late filler, was still filling after kickoff for tigers v parra last year

That rain is more like mist, its falling at a rate of 0.2mm an hour. And is fizzling out quickly. Hopefully wont hold too many back.
