Gold Coast crowd history:

2007: 21489
2008: 21618
2009: 19178
2010: 17877
2011: 15428
2012: 14405
2013: 14028
2014: 13194

That is 6 consecutive years of decreases. And they will be flat out avoiding a 7th year because even those low recent averages have only been acheived with 20k+ from the Brisbane fixture.

Bit of a trivia question, when is the last time a club had 6 straight years of crowd decline?

25 - 50mm expected in Sydney and Newcastle today.

Oh shyte

Been raining all morning in Newcastle, grey skies all about. Here is the current map of ticket sales, http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/newcastle-knights-v-stgeorge-illawarra-dragons-newcastle-new-south-wales-04-04-2015/event/13004E45F8E3DBB3?artistid=1109827&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=695&tm_link=artist_msg-0_13004E45F8E3DBB3

Is tracking worse then the Penrith game from last Saturday which drew 20k. Whilst the middle of the Lower Western and Eastern stands are sold, the corners really haven't moved any tickets. With the rain I don't expect much of a walk up with the 7:30pm start. Crowd may swell depending on the number of St George fans we get. Predicting 16-17k.

pouring down on the coast, if its like this in newy then probably cap the crowd at 15k which is a massive pity as a better day would have been 25k+ imo

Hmm, lets hope 16-17k show.

I use this weather site, the models are fantastic and much more reliable in comparison to weatherzone, willyweather, yahoo and even BOM, when it comes to the prediction of rain.

This map shows that the bulk of the rain is around the Sydney and Newcastle area at 5pm.

Lets hope not.

Half the crowd was Broncos fans.

Remember the 2011 prelim that we took 15k to, nearly outnumbering the Manly supporters. Ha.

Half the gold Coast are Broncos fans. It will take quite some time to ensure the next generation support the right club. Though I do see a lot of Broncos famikies with kids supporting the Titans.
