Congratulations to the Cowboys, worthy victors. Thurston a more than worthy medallist (and crafty politician  )

I feel for Hunt, so often he's won us games in the dying moments it's rough that he had to lose us one on the biggest stage. Bennett giving him a consolation hug was a nice touch.

Thanks, SLR all the banter I said before about the Broncos was just a attempt of a rise from Broncos supporters. :D

The Broncos set the standard for the other QLD teams to follow throughout the years and the Cowboys finally step out of there shadow and be there with the Broncos side by side and not further apart with this premiership.

With the maiden premiership now on the record, hopefully more for come in my lifetime. Cronulla Sharks supporters I hope one year you experience what I and the rest of NQ are experiencing right now. Finally, the maiden premiership on the board.

Happy for you.

Great great feeling it is as you now are experiencing.

I thought O'Neill played well too.

Granville was great he adds so much spark and when it mattered Taumalolo fired up with 14metre runs.

We don't lose Grand Finals.

Broncos by 4 in a fast, tight affair.

Say what?

Bennett made a fundamental error towards the end with instructions to kick for touch, players getting tired and it made sense to back your defence at that point. It almost worked but Nth Qld just too unpredictable in their attack, no wonder it had Bennett scratching his head at half

That's what I was thinking when it was happening, but you know what, it was one tackle away from working :?

Ah well, there's always next year.

Absolutely devastated and it still hasn't completely sunk in that we lost the big one in such circumstances. A nightmare way to go down. Literally one defensive play away from a premiership and then Benny Hunt's drop.

I trust you Cows fans are going nuts and will make it last as long as possible. To win a Grand Final like that would be unreal, let alone your first. Congrats on a terrific game/season, enjoy and cheers for providing good banter during the week.

I do feel sorry for Hunt.

I can imagine how horrible it feels and frustration plus some anger.

Chin up, still a very very very good season from you guys.

Hopefully JT told Ben Hunt to go and take a photo with Wally Lewis' statue and then come take a photo with him and the premiership trophy

I imagine Thurston has something you lack in spades... class and integrity

To be fair, IBM was one tackle from being correct.

He, like me, probably wants to crawl into a hole and hibernate until round 3 or 4 (when Hunt is back from suspension)

f**k MY LIFE. I love sport so much that I want to murder sport.

Wow what a game, thanks QLD for putting on a show. I just didn't think the Cowboys had it in them. They botched opportunity after opportunity. I don't think Bennett's tactics were flawed. They worked for just about the whole half but the dangerous tackle Hunt made was crucial.

JT was enormous, Granville was strong, as was Jimmy T and Taumololo.

Definitely the best night grand final ever eclipsing 2003 and one of the best I have witnessed.

Broncos were terrific, they should be proud. If you told even the diehard Broncos fans that they would be one point away from winning a grand final they would not have believed you.

I was happy with JT winning the medal. The others played well but JT busted his ass all game. Morgan was all over the place before that final run and Milford and Blair were close.

Great game... Close to the best grand final ever! Congrats Cowboys live it up fans makes the bad moments far better

Lets hope the Cowboys stay as humble still. Granville would of been my MOTM. Broncos went too defensive & cost them in the end

Congrats Cowboys fans. One of best grand finals ever. Very well deserved and easily the better team when it mattered most. Hope for more brilliant encounters like this is the future.

JM I am a wreck!

Wasn't taking a shot at you individually, more your wider fan base, many who seem not to bothered or even seem to be happy their supposed team lost. For many, their support seems to be more about getting one over Sydney, which this year had already been accomplisehed, than passionately supporting their own team. Perhaps it's a side effect of never having been through a real tough period, perhaps it's just the Queenslander thing - state always comes first, even in club football.

Whatever it is, I can't fathom it. Supporting a team to me is a deep emotional attachment that leaves you elated when your team wins and gutted when your team gets done. Clearly it's the same for you, while it's not for at least a significant minority of your club's fan base.

And there is nothing worse than watching your team lose a Grand Final in the final moments. Nothing. I can't rustle up too much sympathy because I hate the Broncos so deeply, but you have what little I can. And I do feel for Ben Hunt, even though I know most Broncos fans would have nothing but derision if it was Gareth Widdop in those same shoes.

Suck it up supercoach you pathetic overrated merkin. Broncos got what they deserved for not even trying to score in the second half. The wrong JT got the CC medal.

Well done to the Cowboys.

Got to say, for such an emotionally draining finish to the game, the respect shown around the ground was fantastic. My whole section gave the performance a standing ovation and we were far from alone.

Like last year with Souths, I don't think you could have scripted this any better for the Cowboys. Didn't get the lead until the very last second before going on with it.

Obviously feel gutted coming all this way only to see things go against my side, but it's difficult not be impressed with the enormity of the situation.

Even the post-game banter has been great. Couple of Cows fans have seen me in my Broncos jersey, stopped me to say great game.
