Wow one day they might think it is a good idea to tell people in advance a fair while out and promote said games building up to something and actually tell people where they are playing and at what time.

Ironically they've just announced the venues for the 2019 cricket ashes series.

What happened to our ten year schedule that was meant to be sorted out?

Yep it would be a great help. Especially for those who want to incorporate some RL into an overseas holiday.

If i knew six - eight months in advance that say Canada was playing Jamaica at Toronto i could plan for it.

How about if the RLIF told national leagues that these 7 weekends are reserved for international fixtures

as long as the pacific nations play each other on anzac weekend which they are now.....and the celts/european teams organise tests when england & france play in june/july.....then we're sweet

it would be nice to have a global test weekend...but the anzac weekend is too early for us and the aussies & kiwis won't change the date....so we look set for a southern & northern hemisphere test dates..

You can throw in Tonga v Samoa & PNG v Fiji on the Representative weekend. Latin Heat v Philippines in January and then UAE v Serbia, Thailand, Pakistan and Lebanon all as TBA

How many of those are full international tests though? I know a match involving Latin Heat cannot be, what about Pakistan? Do they have any RLIF recognition?

i tend to glaze over when i hear about nations playing "tests" before they even have anything set up at domestic level..

That's why I'm trying to filter it out a bit and put only the legit Test matches on the list. Latin Heat and Pakistan I'm sure don't fit the bill.

I understand your thoughts on Latin Heat and Pakistan lp but what makes a 'test' a 'test'? It's an archaic term from a bygone era. They are international matches. Differentiating between the statuses of games just compounds the us and them attitude.

100%! Latin Heat isnt a country. Even calling a game an International is stretched in some start up nations where they call any game with a side from outside their country an international.
