Hard to see but this is the Titans jersey

Giant white box, you'd think being that it's free the club would at least have it incorporated.

Great set of home jerseys in that pic.

What's interesting is that there aren't that many colour clashes that would necessitate the use of alternate jerseys.

So like, what are Penrith's official colours? Does anyone know?

Black and teal I'm guessing?

Penrith do need to sort this out, they have probably the least recognisable jersey in the League....

While im personally quite fond of a single, solid colour on the shirt, Black very rarely works as a main colour (AllBlacks jersey is the exception and this is only because they have not added coloured sponsors). For everything else, black acts as a frame for the rest of the design (see Tigers and warriors; their Red/Orange and white v is the memorable aspect).

With the big red "Oak" on the chest and the big yellow boxes on the sleeves, you would be forgiven for thinking those were the clubs colours (a problem the Pink jersey, for example, doesnt create).

If they cant convince their sponsors to brand in white (unlikely), then they need to decide on their colours (pink, gold, teal, whatever.) and either add designs or drop the solid black.

This is probably the best lot of Main jerseys since the '90s. (when it comes to alternates and one-off, i dont care how bad or gimmickey they are as long as club continue with a since Main jersey year-after-year; thats the one people remember and associate with)

The only Mains id still change are:
- Manly to their horizontal stripes (i think we'd all agree on that)
- Warriors to last years (their current is just a shitty version of it anyway)
- Id love to see Melbourne use their 2014 9s jersey (lighting bolts are so distinct, but that was the first that didnt lose the effect with the sponsor added)
- Titans to steal Melbourne's current (Vs are massively over done, and Melbourne's is a gorgeous jersey)

What's wrong with Brown? If it's done well, it would be a great jersey.

As it stands, the colours are teal and black. This is the last year of the current home strip. As you can see, there is very little of the teal left on the jersey. I believe the teal is being phased out. Note the subtle gold stripes. I think gold trim will be used in the future as the training gear has already taken the plunge. (note also, the gold on this years nines strip) All this colour changing over the years hasn't been ideal for the brand, but to us, the fine horizontal stripes are distinctly "Penrith.
If a predominantly black strip is so bad, then why has every other club (even St George) tried it?
The white and pink jerseys should remain. The pink is a sponsors dream, especially if that sponsor sells strawberry milk.
So, to sum it up, I believe we'll have predominantly black with gold accents next year (no teal IMO).
I think the new management are, in fact gradually taking steps towards better brand recognition.

It is a very high quality line up of main jerseys, that's for sure.

One minor annoyance in the photo, and I know it's nitpicking, but in terms of making the photo visually appealing, why would you put two black jerseys (NZ, penrith) next to each other, two sky blue jerseys (Titans, Sharks) together and two navy jerseys (storm, roosters) together?!! And to a lesser extent, dogs and Knights with predominant Royal blue!

With a bit of shuffling the photo could have looked even more striking and impressive.

Its not that black is bad for a jersey, just that it doesnt work as the defining feature.

Every one of those black jerseys teams have brought out were defined by some other feature (dragon had the red V, Tigers have the Orange-White V, Panthers have the big Oak logo). If the Panthers colours were Black and Red, then the jersey would be fine, but we know thats not the case.

You are probably right in believing Black-Gold is the intention, but it cant just be the collar and sleeves as it is now. they either need to go all out as they did in the 9s jersey or at least add some design in gold that draws the eye and defines the jersey.

Should've put them in the order they came last year i.e. Souths and Dogs middle, Roosters and Panthers eitherside of them etc. Probably won't get many if any colour clashes that way too.
