Why don't we just I don't know play the best fullback in our squad in Milford at FULLBACK! Kahu can play 5/8, or what about that U20's bloke.

Absolutely don't agree with that. Milford and Hunt have the potential to be the Broncos halves for a long time, and we should play them together from the get go.

Plus Kahu is untested at the all important position of 5/8. He hasn't played one game there.

Why do I get the feeling that Lachlan Maranta will be Bennett's first choice fullback now?

Haha I don't think so. I honestly think he will go with Hodges, and hopefully have a quiet word in his ear about retiring from rep football.

I'd be against Mildford playing there at this point. Bennett has obviously put fairly solid plans in place for him to pair up with Hunt, and I think further disruption in the key positions of the starting 13 should be kept as a last resort.

That's a good point - if Boyd is any hope of coming back in late in the season, we shouldn't have to restructure the entire team. Milford is the long term no. 6, let's let him develop that combination with Hunt.

Kahu and Eden seem the most capable to swap in. I'm still not sure on Hodges as a fullback, he gives us much needed penetration out wide and I think he's too old to master the positional play in defence. He looks shaky as hell under the high ball too.

Play Maranta on the wing in attack, fullback in defence. Saves Hodges for attack.

Copley was probably actually better than Hodges last year at centre.

TBH I'm surprised that Hook didn't do that in the last few games where we did play Hodges at fullback. I suppose we were in dire straights by that time and we had to go all out.

If Boyd is coming back later in the season, I think it will be a stop-gap option who can easily slot out when Boyd comes back, like Kahu or Eden. Foxsports article neglected to mention Kahu as Boyd's successor (not sure if by design or error) and was pretty adamant that Eden is still struggling for fitness.

The only way I see the Hodges thing working is if Hodges in attack and Milford in defence. It's not ideal as it messes with the Hunt/Milford combo in attack.

In any case, apparently Kahu is the only one who is practising under the high-ball at training. If that is the case not sure what Kikorima is doing???

Pretty sure I read somewhere that Ofahengaue will be held back till 2016.

Yeah I think Bennett said that. Surely it doesn't mean too much though, I think it was to give him a bit of extra motivation, perhaps. I think if he is playing well enough in QLD cup then Bennett will give him a run at some point, at the very least during the origin period.
