meh Reed can play reggies until he's needed at origin time or injury cover. Copley is by far a better left centre option. Id ditch reed and bring in kahu on the wing.

Yep ... agree with that. Although on reputation I'd have to say I'd like to find a place for Purcell on the bench. As I've mentioned many times on this forum, just because McCullough can play 80 doesn't mean he should. I'd like a bit of punch coming off the bench please.

I haven't seen Purcell play, so I'm just going on what I've read.

I also would not be against Parcell coming in for Oates. I really don't think Macca is good enough to be an 80 minute hooker. I hope Parcell can put some pressure on him this saeson.

I hardly think he can run that fast with all the knee injuries he has had in his young career so far.

Yep ... so although I am a Reed fan, given then choice between him and Kahu you'd have to say Kahu has more X-Factor.

If Reed can return to some sort of form - particularly in taking bombs and scoring tries - he may be a chance.

Let's hope Kahu can have an injury-free year.

Is it time to put forward one of our U20's halves and put Milford to fullback? Or Nikorima at fullback? Give Kahu a shot? Or give Hodges another go?

EDIT: Forgot about Eden, he'll be a show. Probably confirms that he was a good signing after all.

As long as any negative effect of taking Hodgo out of the front line can be limited, it's probably better late than never to give him an extended run at the back.

Eden will obviously be in the frame too. Failing that a 20s kid (been done before).

I'd be against Mildford playing there at this point. Bennett has obviously put fairly solid plans in place for him to pair up with Hunt, and I think further disruption in the key positions of the starting 13 should be kept as a last resort.

We have options and lots of them, Boyd is a great player no doubt about that but he's not our mainstay marquee signing where if he falls over and breaks his jaw Darren Lockyer style then our season is a write off

Plenty of options and plenty of opportunity for whoever steps in, any other club would be reaching for the hanging rope had they lost a fullback the calibre of Darius Boyd

not so much for us in this situation
