That was probably the toughest game to watch all year, in that we lost but were the better team on the night. Fkn Badger raped us. That was appalling.

Criticisms though: bombs... What were they doing? Naiqama didn't even contest the bombs and Hoeter doesn't even look at the ball, just trying to block players running through. Get to the ball and there's a good chance they don't score.

Drinkwater, whilst not horrible, had some very costly errors in attack.

Teddy, outstanding yet again.

I listened to the game on MMM, not something I often do but the call was very good and I didn't realise how funny Andrew Johns can be away from the strictures of TV. Guest comentator was Jamie Soward and both he and Johns identified a serious problem with defence on the side where Naiqma, Hoeter and Moses were, pointing out the lack of experience and organisation. In the post game interviews Soward asked Jason Taylor who was in charge of organising defence on that side and he dodged answering. Makes you wonder, if everyone else can see these glaring problems why can't Taylor? Simple stuff.

We can't keep playing Naiqama on the wing. He showed great footwork to beat Semi for his try, but he simply isn't tall enough to defned high balls. He should be able to use his footwork to great effect in the centres and the defence on the edge there is so bad that swapping Hoeter and Naiqama can only be an improvement.

Taylor looks to be trying to employ an Up-and-in sliding defence.

It's one or the other JT.

Up and in is only good if you play against a side that plays a forwards dominated style (Souths, Sharks, Roosters).

Teams that send the ball wide a lot like Canberra, Parramatta and Warriors, require a sliding defence.

He's played like this all year. He is not NRL standard.

After watching the game, I still think Lawrence should've played in the centres, Halatau in the back row and Cherrington at hooker, with an extra forward on the bench.

1. Lawrence.

Some dodgy decisions but you have to atleast contest bombs and not be statues.
Wonder how good Tedecso would be in a team that gave him opportunities?
It is quite apparent that JT and defence guru Kidwell are concentrating on defence.
Well we are f**king coming last and that is probably about the standard.

The second half penalties had us back peddling and unable to compose an attack and on the defence. We had no chance of winning against that. We did play ok in patches but not consistently well and defensively we got found out time and time again when the pressure was on in the second half.

Still yet to be convinced we are on the right pathway but, having said that, it was a better effort albeit for another loss.

I'd really like to see a just couple of more old heads out on the field providing some experience and leadership to the younguns.

That is the main point! The refereeing was a DISGRACE it is impossible and implausible to think that the penalties could run the way they did. JT was correct in the press conference when he said they seemed to be for the 50/50 calls in the rucks, hanging on, hand on the ball, strips or loose carries and just about all the calls go their way, it was ASTONISHING! My criticism if any is that Taylor should have gone harder (i.e. - think Des Hasler, Ricky Stuart, Toov's Bellamy etc) No league fan should be under any misapprehension this morning that the WT were robbed last night! Simple as that! He should have tiptoed inside the boundaries of not getting fined and answered every press conf question with a referral back to the penalty count. Even (and its easy for me to suggest without knowing the finances down to the last cent) but I think the $10k fine would've been money well spent last night. He should've sought permission to unload on that Hipster wannabe F***wit Badger with both barrels!

Do you still stand by your comments that Tedesco has gone stagnant?

Yes, in as much as can you imagine what he would be able to do behind a go forward pack and a speedy backline? He is playing well behind a more often than not beaten team. He doesnt often get opportunities to shine- that is what I meant by stagnant.

This has been apparent for much of the season, certainly since that Roosters game which appears to be the tipping point. For a guy that preaches defence so much, it's a massive concern that JT still can't get simple things like effective communication working on matchday.

As for defending kicks, this has been a WT issue for as long as I can remember. We don't contest well, we don't protect the winger (or whoever is contesting) and we react to the second ball slowly.

Badger and his side kicks were a disgrace last night, when the commentators repeatedly mention how the WT were hard done by you have to wonder is this prick with the whistle corrupt or just incompetent...?

Can't get any reaction as to how we handled the post match! Seriously; one of the other big gun clubs I mentioned earlier would've kicked up an enormous stink. Remember Hasler and the Voldermort press conf? We were meek, mild and accepting of the rough end of the pineapple that was jammed up our a?se last night and if management / coaching staff are prepared to cop it submissively like they did then we can't blame the players for being soft in the future. Last night presented a perfect opportunity to create some us against the world siege mentality....and we sat back and vacuously let it pass by...blah blah blah....yada yada yada....who cares....don't rock the boat or upset the NRL... - Where's the Fu*kin fire in the belly of this outfit....Tiger or Maggie - BLOCKER or TOMMY would be ashamed!

I thought Taylor might actually fire up in the press conference. But we got the 'we'll have to take a look at the video... I've got to clarify that with Tony Archer' diatribe.
